    Crysis Tweaks for Laptop? Or should I go straight to warhead?

    My laptop is in my sig. I really want to play the first crysis. Are there any tweaks that will make the game playble at decent settings. Like settings that will make the game look better than any console game I have ever played mostly Gears/Gears2.

    Same goes with warhead. Is it worth even getting on my midrange laptop?

    there are oodles of mods and tweaks for both games. if you want the original title to run well, download the CCC mod (google it) and choose level 3.

    There is no magic tweak that will make your system magically run Crysis with everything on superduperultrahigh without killing your FPS. If you're just after eye candy to show off to your friends, get Crysis Warhead. My friend's laptop with a Geforce 8600M GT runs it fine on mostly mainstream and gamer (medium-high) settings and it runs very smooth. It also looks better than Gears of War. No kidding. And if you really want something that looks like GoW, get Unreal Tournament 3.

    there is also a way to play the origional Crysis with the Warhead engine... i cant find the thread though :(

    To be honest dude, with your specs, set it at all medium, native res, and enjoy the dam game. :)

    It's that simple. Don't buy warhead before the original....

    will i get decent fps on medium? How about the physics. Should that be on high?

    I have a 9600Mgt and the same processor as you, and I rant he whole game ay medium at 1280x800

    Nice and smooth smooth
    However the last couple of levels after a certain "s/ship" get fairly laggy so I changed some settings to low

    You could probably lower the res. and play with some things on I high, but I prefer a higher res.
    Also, for some reason CCC mod sapped my frames both when I chose level 2 and 3
