Crysis Vs. Warhead

which game do you guys think is better. Crysis the original of Crysis Warhead.
PLease explain why.

 

I haven't played Crysis yet, but I do have a question.
Is it possible to play through Crysis original utilizing Warhead (because it's graphics are better optimized)?

i couldn't get into warhead... so i vote regular crysis

 

Warhead is less stealthy/open world and more action packed. A great ride from beginning to end if you like action. It is only $30 and the game is half the length of Crysis. All in all I really liked it.

Crysis has more options for being stealthy and planning your attacks. I played through 2+ times and the KPA missions were totally different for me. The game loses it's "fun" imo once you get past all the jungle levels and into the alien levels and ending.

You can download the Natural mod for Crysis which really boosts the graphics up to Warhead level. There might be other ways to do this too? But the Natural mod is very good.

Both games are great and have their own flavour on the franchise. If you are stuck on which to get it's up to this. Do you prefer A) stealthy, planned, snipe'em action or B) guns blazing chaos. A = Crysis B = Warhead.

 

i liked crysis better!,warhead was too linear compared to crysis....i also thought that the 3rd person cutscenes in warhead were a step back from the first person cutscenen from the original!.....gotta agree with Thund3rball, the early jungle levels are the highlight of the game just like in far cry....

 

If you havent play none of them, play Crysis and after that you will buy Warhead sooner or later hahhaa.
The reason is because Warhead's story can not be understand without knowing Crysis.

 

Ack, I liked them both equally; I thoroughly enjoyed the stealthy approach in the jungle for the original (reminded me of the movie Predator) but hated the zero g and "ice" missions which killed my frames.

I liked Warhead for the grenade launcher, dual SMGs, and the fact that you play as Psycho. I guess if it came down to it, I'd vouch for the original as the better of the two.

 

The weapons in Warhead are much more powerful and having longer range than those of the original Crysis. However the main game still rules owing to its longer playing time and the varied terrain. The story is also better presented in the original Crysis. So my vote goes to Crysis.

 

Im glad to hear from all of you about your opinions on this spectacular franchise. And what i hope would be a future game of the year franchise.

ANYONE who has a powerful gpu in their system who has not yet tried this game please do. IT IS AWESOME.

But for some reason half of the gamer population dont even know what crysis is.

 

Until I started playing it, I only knew it was the most demanding game and it was DX10

 

Yeah, I don't think I've ever seen an advertisement for it once. Maybe because if they did, it would've attracted a lot of more casual PC gamers, which in turn would find out they can't run the game, which maybe would've led to a riot.

i'd have to say crysis, but only cause i still can't finish warhead, even after reinstalling it crashes at some Hell's Heart level.

 

All I knew was that it had amazin graphics. I got my new laptop just so I could play crysis on it. I got warhead and it is amazing.

1. Because they play on consoles, not PC.
2. Because Crytek had the most mind bogglingly stupid marketing campaign ever conceived for a video game. "You'll love this game. That's if you can even play it on your computer!" LOL

 

Its funny. I tell people at school i play on PC and i get looked at as if i'm a loser because im the only one in my school who can apparently play this game.

I showed some of my friends some Screenshots of crysis at ultra high using the best texture mod out there and they laughed and said Gears of War 2 looked better.

I'm the only pc game at school aswell, all my friends have consoles... They slate me all the time for it!
I asked the so called "gaming (console) nerd" of my year if he had ever heard of crysis, and all I got was a blank look!
Arrogant they are, but I don't know why...

I'm not playing my 360 at all and really wish to sell it and get a gaming PC to hook up to my HDTV instead. Of course I would use it for other uses like a media center, video editing, etc. I played Fallout 3 on the 360 and PC and the PC blows it away with constant 60fps and higher resolutions (if your PC can handle it of course) and I barely have to use VATs, I can easily kill enemies with a keyboard/mouse combo and I'm looking forward to all the mods that will come out for the game in addition to the official DLC.

Its a shame that PC gaming is not doing nearly as well as consoles but not at all a surprise as consoles are much cheaper and standardized for the many more peasants that can only handle them.

I was disappointed to hear The Witcher is coming to consoles in a much better package next year than the PC original and with exclusive DLC. The console market is just much more lucrative.

although psycho is more tweaked offering newer guns and dual form and newer vehicles.

meh i kinda got annoyed since both endings are cliff hangers sheesh i want the final battle to be epic.

btw graphics on warhead are much heavier than crysis. like warhead on low = crysis on medium-high. and warhead on high gets me on a high haha.

 

Gaming on a PC is way to intricate and expensive for the average person. Yes it looks better. yes it has more options. But think about it. Alot of these gamers are handed these consoles by their parents. Its just plug and play. PC is not.

 

Huh...im 15 and i got me a 1500 dollar PC. It's just that. Console gamers bash on me when i try to tell them that PC will always look better than their systems. But they still think that the PS3 is king. And i remind them that the RSX is only a 7800 gt. But they dont care.

 

We should not even bother to try to talk to them, they will never understand.
I don't think the 360 and PS3 are bad, but sometimes when you have extra money, you are looking for a finer experience, above all the others. You want higher framerates resolutions, mouse/keyboard controls, many mods from the user community, you want...........a PC.

 

Im having a really hard time getting into crysis. I thinks mainly do to weapons lack a impact feeling when you shot the enemies. When you compare to CoD or half life it looks and feels like the enemies are actually getting shot.

I havent played warhead yet but i hope its better than crysis. I love fps shoots but i just cant get into crysis.

 

The original is always better ... WH was a little pushed out of reason...

 

I liked Warhead a lot more. Crysis was pretty boring at times whereas Warhead kept my attention pretty much from beginning to end.

 

I haven't played the original, but I bought warhead since it was cheaper and optimized. I enjoyed it, it's a lot of action but you can still play it stealthy, and I like the nano suit system. It's a pretty easy game even on hard though lol <.<
