Alright, yet ANOTHER game question from yours truly.

Ok, I got Crysis running smooth, 20/30 FPS with Medium specs (I swear to god if you laugh, I will drop kick you through my monitor :D )

But when I am playing on full screen mode, if I press the caps lock button, it exits out of full screen, and goes into normal screen mode, about the size of WMP when it opens up by default......well, maybe a little bigger.

I tried assigning the key for Crysis, but it still does it. I would like to use it because I am used to using that button from playing Combat Arms.

Is there a reason why this is doing this? And can I fix it?

It has to be that when you press caps lock a little message pops up in windows saying caps is on/off.
I know that when I press caps, a little box near the clock pops up saying caps in on or off.
Try pressing caps again when you're not running any games and see if a little message pops up about it.
If so we'll need to find out how to disable it.

See if it happens when you run in DX9(if you're not already)

Remove the caps from the keyboard.

Seriousely now, if it bugs you, you can uninstall the hotkey driver that shows you that(or the keyboard driver, since you might be using an external kb like me, which comes with its own hotkey and popup messages...)
    Or...stop hitting the **** caps :D

If I am playing another game, like Unreal Tournament, and I press the key, it does not re-size the window, but if I press it, and then quickly minimize the game, the message does still appear.

How do I run in dx9? I assume I am running dx10 by default.

Ya, I though about doing that. I would LIKE to use the button, but if push comes to shove, I will just disable it.

You could always duct tape or remove that key, not a joke.
They keys are removable, and therefore easily put back.

Right click the short-cut then select run in DX9. Alot of people, including myself, have had similar issues with crysis in DX10, have you fully updated the game?

It happens in Crysis and Warhead on mine, the cause of it is the little caps lock on/off box mentioned above. I discovered that the box is caused by my Bluetooth Manager in the system tray, from a bluetooth keyboard I synced with my laptop. It even will show the box if the keyboard is not connected.

By closing it, fixes the problem for me. Not sure if that is what you are experiencing, but sounds like it. :)

It has to be some kind of pop up message because other pop ups have done that to me as well.
