Does that mean it will be 5 hours long, no widescreen, and buggy?
No troll. Wanna see what peeps think.

I think that EA is going to surprise a lot of people with this game. I think crysis is going to be one of the best "bugs wise" games ea has ever released. Also I can almost guarantee wide screen support because 99.9% gamers all have widescreen moniters and EA knows this.

EA is going to publish it? Wow! I thought the creators of Far Cry would do it.:X
-
I can see the updates now LOL
Who knows what/if we will have problems with this game, let's hope there will be few updates and none serious enough -
Considering how hyped this game is, I'm pretty sure EA won't drop the ball.

This is bad news, EA's not to be trusted. Ubisoft released Far Cry and I was hoping they'd be releasing Crysis.
Unless, you know, you like the possibility of eating spyware and in-game ads with the most anticipated title of the year. -
Seems I'm a little bit confused about the difference between publishers and developers. I'd thought developers would be responsible for all the ingame content... anyone care to set me straight?
-
EA will screw it up. Peeps will have to go thru 10+ patches like most of EA's games
Crytek is still the developer and its their AI but im sure EA is gonna want to be more than just a errand boy distrubitor and want to try put their own lil spin in the game -
Speculation is the work of the Devil
-
Just a question, how would EA patch PS3 game?
-
You mean port it to the PS3 ?
-
Publishers still have the right to do anything they want to the game.
EA could technically change everything if they wanted to , but that would be really dumb.
Just about the dumbest thing they could do is use like gamespy for online play or something like that (They used gamespy for C&C3).
-
hmm they dont!
BUT they could be able to now that they use hard drives. the game would load, install the patch (would have to be small-ish) that was downloaded and the game starts -
After hearing about the BF2142 spyware episode, I don't really plan on ever getting another game from them any time soon. Of course, if the next 5 or so titles do not have spyware, then I'll consider it...
Too bad for Crysis... -
I never understood all the hubub about BF2142's ads. It's not spyware, and it doesn't do anything outside of the game or the game's files, or collect any kind of personal information.
The Battlefield series is so buggy because EA owns DICE and forced them to release new versions so quickly before they were ready (thus the general buggyness and five kagillion patches). Crysis is a much different situation. EA really just does the packaging, distribution, advertising, etc. The game is developed by Crytek, so I'm sure that Crysis will be a fun, well-coded, widescreen-compatible romp. -

i cant wait to see the price point of this game. I bet it'll be crazy expensive (EA's gonna want some profit from distributing it) yet it most likely wont top the most expensive EA game ever(BFMEII)
Crysis being published by EA...
