CRYSIS IS GOING TO BE A TRILOGY!!

NVIDIA_Roy: Simply put - DX10 can do two tasks: 1, is reproduce existing effects more simply, 2 produce more sophisticated effects. DX10 is complex, new and we are at the beginning of our learning curve with it. Please remember that it took 2 years from the introduction of DX9 to the first game, Far Cry by the way. It's been just 1 year since DX10 was introduced. So, as we get more familiar with it we will see both performance increases and better and deeper use of features. Right now we are pleased that people are noticing the DX10 improvements.

So there it is from them!! 2 more games coming in the crysis trilogy!

(EDIT) ALSO they stated in a upcoming patch, the game will support SLI much better, and also support Crossfire, SSE4 instrucTIONS, and more than 4 cores ( which it currently supports. ) They also state that DX10 is still in it's eirly stages for them, and they're still learning more about it, and that upcoming patched will definately make both graphics AND performance better under DX10.

Alkaeda your laptop is the same as mine, how do you find running crysis on it? That is assuming you use the laptop for gaming

Let's hope so. 169.09's "Crysis SLI support" did nothing for me. That would be the second time, as many believed the final game would be more optimized. Third time's a charm?

They had better get that SLI patch out soon, I can imagine SLI owners getting annoyed that they can't use all of their hardware. A poor decision on EA's part if you ask me.
That makes me happy though. :)

Sign me up for parts 2 and 3! I finished the game in about 12 hours I think. The ending is very open so a sequel was expected. Waiting for the first patch to finish it a second time.

same as everyone else. It runs high on dx9 and not too great on dx10. Ive overclocked for the full game and will hope to run it on high dx10 :)
