It's exactly how it looks on my desktop gaming rig. Not yours?

Well it cant be, because many of those Images are using Texture mods, and three of them I know are using the "real" jungle floor texture mod. The few at the top are from the crysis Beta before they changed a few things, such as the models and lighting, tectures.

No doubt though, crysis is still the most picturesque game ever made.

doesnt look like that on mine, there are modded textures and effects at work here.

ps are these mods available now or is this some pre-production stuff?

These are worthy of desktop backgrounds.

BTW, even if no one else did, I caught the sarcasm :)

My laptop nearly bricked itself loading this page, let alone run the game

I see now why Crysis is so demanding, I always thought it was badly coded or something, lol. I'll have to get it when I get my Asus :)

I had run the Crysis demo on my laptop in medium settings. I thought it looked good, but nothing amazing. Now these screenshots... WOW.

the mod is called real lifesis
i installed it and the lighting looks wrong (there's too much of it): the sky is permanently white!

ccc lvl 5 + TOD is the best config/mod i've seen

it looks a bit over done in a lot of the pictures, like the light was jacked way up. So sure its pretty but not realistic.

DOn't get a gaming laptop again. If you wanna "really" play crysis get a desktop with like a gtx 260 at least and you will be able to play the game at CCC LVL5, which like CuriousN said , its the best mod available for the game. And if you got a GPu better than mine which runs the game at 25FPS then you might be able to get it more playable, but when i play it on a GTX 260 it absolutely flies.

If you wanna challenge crysis get a desktop.

not true, the m17x with dual gtx 280's will perform better than a single desktop gtx260. My M17 laptop nearly maxes crysis warhead right now and when i upgrade to dual 1gb 4850's soon from alienware ill be able to really crank everything up.
