    Hi Everybody,

Recently I've replaced broken 8800M GTX with FX 3700M, card works great but I can't play any more Crysis. All games which I tryed work without any problem (Crysis Warhead, NFS's, etc...) exept Crysis (DX9 or DX10). It just gives black screen and then Windows gives error  . Any thoughts, somebody expirienced this??? Thanks for help.

Youre running 64 bit version? If so, change the crysis exe compatibility to "vista sp2" and try again.
Also delete any settings you have beside the saves. They should be either in My Documents\My Games\Crysis or under My Saved Games.

Np. Well fx3700 is basically an underclocked gtx280m, so yes it has more shaders but the barebone of the card is the same as your old 8800m gtx/9800m gt.
    Like gtx260m being a rebranded 9800m gtx.
It should performs like the 8800m gtx, with an advantage on shader intensive games.
Also quadro drivers are much better than geforces.
I know how the fx3700 does as ive been one of the piooners on my m860tu along with niffcreature and Moral_Hazard to install and test it.
Hell we even managed to create a custom bios for overvolting the card thus reaching higher performance.
    My record with an x9100 @ 3,6 is 12,529 in 3dmark06 ;)
Well glad you sorted out ;)

Yes it would be nice to get clocks of GTX 280M, but what I've read here it's almost or it's impossible. Anyway I'm happy with FX 3700M it's stable in Crysis at 550 1375 900(1.03v) and it's faster than 8800M GTX at 600 1500 950(22.42 avg fps to 24.33 in 1900x1200). I don't play much lately. I've better toy now :D .
Oh yes... I didn't get much higher score in 3D 06 but Vantage proves fx 3700M to be better (GPU score 5068 to 5365).

You can overvolt the BIOS yourself, but its doesn't really do anything unless you have a Lenovo card.

    Uhh... LOL

Kind of like how laptops that come within the vicinity of overclockers usually suffer from overheating problems?
    Sure.

If you're referring to Kalmonds posts, he was wrong. He got an ES card.

Honestly that sounds a lot like the work of someone else... have you tried modifying the clocks with nibitor?

I think you posted the bios i'm using, it pushes 3d voltage to 1.05v (max with nibitor is 1.03v) and gives a decent boost to clocks speeds!

It really is the memory, tried +- everything. Must be a faulty module since the modules are rated 1.2ns or 833mhz.

OP it's the best upgrade your going to get for your current machine and the performance jump will be fantastic and not to mention the extra shading; and also desktop modified drivers which really boost up the performance!

Just did Crysis benchmark run on all very high and 1900x1080 and I get avg 14.32 fps  thats like 460M according to Notebookcheck.net. Not bad for an "old" RU-U and upgrade from 8800M gtx ;) (clocks 550 1375 900).
