Crysis on dx9 or dx10? FX P7811

I tried searching but there are too much threads to go through.
Simple question: Should I run Crysis Warhead in DX9 or DX10 mode?
I'm using a mod config file from a member here and its great.
Btw if you recommend dx9, how do I enable it?

 

To enable DX9 right click the crysis shortcut and select playDX9. Try both out yourself. I'd run in DX10 if i could play the game on medium or higher.

Hey thanks! but I can't find that option..
I have an icon pinned to the start menu. I checked the exe file in the main Crysis WH folder and it does not give me the option either...
any clue?

 

Im using EAZY E's mod files. Do you think that forced the game to run in dx9?

I can't find that "target" space in order to type in the dx9 command...

 

Right click on that shortcut icon in your Start menu, click properties, then add this to the end of the Target line: -dx9

So it'll look like c:\blahblahblah\crysis.exe -dx9
If there are quotes, add it after

 

guys...it does not give me that option...
I right click on the start menu icon and only the get the following tabs....
"General/Compatibility/Digital Signatures/Security/Details"

 

Never mind I got it. I had to go to the exe file in the main folder and make a short cut to desktop. I guess I will now, add that one to the start menu .

For some reason if I pin the shortcut to the start menu, I lose the option of changing those options....

CCC? is that a mod file? I have Easy's Mod file right now...going great. I just need to download a program to measure my temp. It was getting hot in there!!

 

Well also remember that if you want to play Crysis Wars, play that in DX10 since DX9 servers aren't allowed to use physics, and it's SOOOOO much more fun driving through a small forest with a tank in multiplayer than it is smashing into them and having your vehicle blow up.. I don't know what DX10 has to do with multiplayer physics but hey, can't get em without it in crysis

For singleplayer, well DX10 doesn't add ANY graphics effects to crysis, all it does it make the performance worse so that's a no brainer..

 

hmm I'm guessing Crysis Wars is the multiplayer add-on? How is it?? realistic?(why am I asking this , after the dude can jump 10 meters)

 

Crysis wars is the same as crysis, just multiplayer. The suit abilities have been slightly modified to balance the gameplay, and the most noticable is that speed mode is slightly slower, but the suit power also drains slower, and suit regeneration is slower.
The game has a deathmatch, team deathmatch, and a battlefield Esq mode called powerstruggle that has quite a bit of deapth to it with huge maps, a rank and buy system, etc. you'll have to watch the in game tutorial since it would take alot to explain.

 

You need to go to Start/Games and then right click on your Crysis icon in the games folder and select "PLAYDX9".

 

I don't want to start another thread but something is wrong. I have been playing Crysis all day but now when I got to the Train/Bridge scene it crashed to desktop. So I loaded the save file before that one and the same thing happens. It crashes when it gets to 70%. Thinking it was that whole part of the game I load the ice map file and crashes again....

I then started a new game and it works

I have been loading different config files every once in a while just to compare quality. Perhaps I deleted something by accident? I don't want to play from the beginning again. Delta difficulty can be a b*tch at times...

 

I run it in DX9 on all high at 1280 x 720 just because it's nice and consistent on the frame rate.
