OK just finished playing Crysis - but a bit annoyed . Game is great but just didnt expect it to end the way it did . I thought I was all set to go to the island hook up with prophet and deal to the squids .... and then it ends !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggggggggggg

At least Far Cry ended sweet , imagine it cutting off at the volcano level .

So learned people is a sequel on its way to finish of the Crysis story ????

it will be a while till Crysis 2 is out, but Crysis warhead is coming soon, which you play as Psycho, it wont add much new to the story, but it will reveal some stuff of what happened. maybe like " How the hell did prophet assemble that gun..?"

Crysis Warhead isn't a sequel. It's a shorter, more action oriented side story.

Oh Crysis is a 3 part series didnt know that.

just means that the next 2 games will be more graphically demanding I suppose.

    I will give warhead a go .

Not really, it's a stand alone game. If it were a true 'expansion' you would either require the original game, or it would contain it.

As it's been described this is a new game, with a different but parallel story, that's not a continuation or a sequel.

I just read on a website that Crytek is saying that Warhead is a compleatly standalone game with improved AI and some new weapons and vehicles. Crysis 2 being developed will depend on the market performance of Warhead. Also it saod that Warhead maybe Cryteks last PC exclusive game.

It will be kind of interesting to see what Crytek does on the console front.

actually, warhead will be less demanding. in fact, CRYTEK, the company thats making crysis made a $653 system that had a REGULAR 8600GT that will run the game "silky smooth, with all the bells and whistles turned on."
Just a quote from PC Gamer, but it's not my opinion

Furthermore, warhead will support global ambient lighting and advanced particle effects. whatever in the hell that means.
Another quote: "I don't want to talk about crysis 2- in may come, it may not- but [its development] will depend greatly on warhead's sucess" Cevat Yerli in an interview with a guy at PC Gamer

Looks like they learned there lesson in Crysis being too demanding.

But it is a pretty game, I finally got it all running great today with the new 8.7 Catalyst drivers and patching the game to 1.2.

No more artifacts! I only had the "object pop" issue and I googled that and found it to be fixable by turning object quality to very high.

From what I've read, Crysis Warhead has been tuned to work well on lesser hardware because of the customer complaints. Thank goodness. I think it's great to have a game that pushes the limits, but don't isolate yourself from 90% of the gaming public.

I still haven't beat Crysis. I can't get past the part where you enter the zero gravity cavern. I can't figure it out it's so disorientating. :D

If u wanna see a TRULY pretty game, download the natural mod from crymod.
Makes the game so realistic, you'd swear you were there.

Its the only slighlty linear part of the game. Just keep going foward , one part you have to destroy 3 rotating generators to get through the gate because its pushing **** againts you , the last part is you have to go through gates/forcefields at the alien control centre , they are large and sparkly and rotate on and off every few seconds , go through them to get to the entrance/exit

I ran it on 1290x720 with everything on medium and it looked better than Far Cry . Just so dissapointed that it ended so abruptly .
