Crysis vs Crysis Warhead

I have a couple questions about these two games.
I heard that warhead if better optimized, but the original crysis has better gameplay. So is there a release where you can play original crysis on warhead graphics? Is this even possible? Also there seem to be a bunch of custom configs for both of these games. Any recommendations? Which game looks better with custom configs and without?

 

I have both games.

Personally I like the first game much more, infact I didnt even really like the 2nd one too much.

While its true Warhead is better optimized vs Crysis in stock condition its not dramatic, but the key word is "stock condition"

There are so many user made custom profiles for Crysis to make it run better that I cant even count them all. Though by far the most popular I think is Cubans.

Id go for the first one IMO, plus the 2nd game takes place after the first chronologically thats another reason to start with the original crysis.

 

Actually, Warhead runs at the same time chronologically as Crysis. Your just playing as Pshyco instead of Nomad on the other side of the Island.

 

I guess your right, but Crysis still had many things like introducing profit and your main character and stuff, without playing the first you woldnt know what is going on.

Crysis and Warhead are both good games now doubt.

Crysis is a very stealthy game while warhead is more in your face and has alot more intricate enviroments.

Custom configs should be used as follows:

Crysis Warhead: CCC 3.0 Config lvl 3.5 for 8800m-9800m users.

Crysis: CCC 2.21 Config LVL 4 for 8800m-9800m users with a 2.5ghz CPU or +

Look at HD videos of Crysis and Warhead on youtube and make your decision based on that.

 

Crysis is the better game. Both are so demanding that performance feels the same.
