    Crysis vs. World in conflict

Which one takes up more resources on your computer?

    Which one would run easier?

Crysis is defintely more damanding than WIC. But I've got a worse one, GTA4 :p

On high/very high settings, Crysis will run like a slideshow on weak GPU's, but the engine scales well to any modern computer. GTA4 demands the best CPU's on the market, high video memory, and at least a 8800 GT equivalent GPU to run well.

I have played both games in my laptop solo and multiplayer. Both in medium-high settings.
    What's your spec?
Both games can scale very well on laptops since you can configure many settings but nevertheless they both demand a very good CPU and GPU if you want high settings. WiC will be less demanding for high settings though and Crysis online for me was unplayable.
Overall WiC is less demanding but not much.

WiC will probably penalize you much greater for having a lower end CPU.

Got to be crysis! Just a killer. I can run it all high in 1920x1200, but thats on my xps m1730. Both quite Cpu heavy games. Wic gets hectic when you have multiple units and explosions going on!

I would think Empire Total War is more demanding than WiC. At least in the SP you have way more units on a larger map than you do in WiC. but between Crysis and WiC on highest settings, I would say Crysis.

I just purchased an n81vp-d1 and I am waiting for it in the mail...

It has an ati 4650 with gddr3 video card...

What would you say is more fun to play? World in conflict...or Empire Total War?

Excluding bugs and specific AI issues...E:TW. The naval battles are stellar.

Wow they are totally different playing styles. WiC is a lot of micro mgmt with just a few units playing out typical kinds of RTS missions (defend bridge, escort convoy, blow up building etc...). I found it to be extremely fun and satisfying. It is a quick game.

ETW is huge and epic. You have all this macro to take care of with your settlements and when you get into battles it's about setting up your ranks in strategic positions, playing out some action, realigning ranks etc etc. It is not really a fast game imo. And the size of it is massive. The naval stuff is also a cool bonus too. Lots of fun to be had there.

I haven't played TW but WiC is very fun online. Make sure you have completed the single player missions so you know what you are doing and then, online is going to be..... NUKE NUKE NUKE frenzy. The best nuclear explosions in games. Take a look in youtube. Plus you can give advice, orders, suggestions, cry for help, laugh, swear vocally which makes it even more fun.
I really miss WiC online. I had it in my old dead laptop, now I am left with the old hard drive which is installed there but no DVD (I lost it during moving houses) so I cannot install it in my new laptop.

I just couldnt get into Empire-TW so id also recommend WiC its a fast paced game with small units and in lan or multiplayer teamwork is a must have...but by far my favorite rts is Company of Heroes, i just cant get enough of it.
