Is it possible to configure Crysis to use a generic USB dual shock controller? I have it plugged in and recognized by the computer, but the Crysis key setup won't recognize any of the input signals from it. Is it possible to do this?

Crysis was made to be PC first, so it doesn't play well with gamepads.

I'm not sure about that, but I do know that crysis automatically pops up on screen that an Xbox 360 controller is plugged in if you have one plugged in, and just "works". Though I can't see why anyone would want to use a gamepad in the first place. I don't think there is support for any other game pad other than the Xbox360 one.

Yes it is possible. Usually most of the games what support gamepads do allow Sixaxis/DualShock 3 aswell.

    Also, check this.

It should be no different than any other controller, provided you can find a driver for it. My laptop recognized my friend's PS3 dualshock and displayed it under the list of game controllers in the control panel. But when I went to test the buttons, none of them registered.

It'll recognize a 360 controller since the game was made for it in mind if you didn't want to use the mouse and key board. I'd hate to admit it, but Crysis plays pretty well with a 360 gamepad, not as good as the 'ol mouse and KB, but pretty impressively never the less, though I wouldn't recommend it for online play of course. You're just asking for a beating in that situation.

That's because it's a "game for windows" and as such it already has profiles for MS hardware.

That because you need to set the EN_sixaxis file to run at startup ;)

Why would you want to do that? Analog sticks on the Dual Shock are horrid for a FPS.

You can use this program I use for my MAME and GGPO called Joy2Key. It lets you map keys to game buttons and it works with my SFIV Ryu Fightpad, Fightstick, Hori Real Arcade Pro 3 and my PS3 DS Controller. It also lets you have several configs for different games...

To get your PS3 pad working you need the following:

    and

Good luck and pm if you have any problems with Joy2Key
