I have to admit the first time I played crysis and warhead I went a little crazy because I got so mad.
A few months later I've given it another try. It awsome :D Besides last 1/3 of the game where you're fighting aliens[I'm a strict realist when it comes to games. Aliens don't and won't ever exist and I don't like them in games, especially when they don't make sense].
Anyways, I found the rest quite pleasing and entertaining(even though its quite un-realistic for a few special men to take on thousands of Koreans.

I just finished crysis today(I skipped the entire alien levels so I only played 2/3's of the game.
I am going to give warhead a second go like I just did crysis after Christmas.

I'm wondering about the 3rd game of crysis.
--Yes google is my friend, but I didn't come up with anything--
Is there any info about this if there/or when there will be a 3rd game of crysis?
Please if anyone has info about this I would like to know about it.

One more thing. About aliens in games... I've never liked playing games with crazy alien beings, it doesn't appeal to me. I really like call of duty(4 especially) because your fighting in a war which is a real thing in life. We aren't over in iraq fighting insurgents+scarab's are we :p
I don't think players would have like to suddenly see a huge scarab in COD while they're fighting with the enemie, I mean that would be just plain ridicules.

Here's my idea of a great game and things I like in games.
Full 24 hr mission.(Crysis is about 6 hrs)

No aliens or crazy made up weapons(Crysis has this and I hate it)

Customizable weapons(Crysis has this and I love it)

Great graphics(Crysis has this and I love it)

Not fighting by yourself all of the time 100% of the time(Cod4 is nice because you're in an army with others helping you). I don't mind fighting myself e.g. I get kidnapped and escape/My allies get captured or killed-But not the whole mission or 90% of it.

Knowing exactly what to do most of the time. I hate it when I get lost in a mission and don't know what I'm supposed to do. We all hate it. This needs fixed somehow.

Split scenes. We all love watching these in the games. They're interesting and you're not doing anything. Maybe if there was a somewhat long movie or 2 at the begging, middle or maybe end.

I don't really know about what I would want with multipayer. I'm horrible at fighting with actual people in online games :D

    ACTION!!!

What do you all think? I look forward to seeing replies.

I don't know about that, i mean how do we know they don't? but i also don't like games with aliens in them and also didn't like the end of Crysis.

i haven't gotten to finish warhead, it always crashed on me before Hell's Heart, waited a few months and tried again and now it crashes before i even get there.

If aliens are part of the Crysis story, if the next game is another perspective from a different soldier, then yes, aliens will exist still. Only way the aliens wont exist is to change the entire story. Or we can be aztec and die from an unknown source 2 minutes into the game. No aliens! You can't see it, and it doesn't exist!

Didnt Crytek say something about not liking PC gaming anymore because of piracy?

Anyways, I hope Half-Life 2 Episode 3 pwns Warhead, which I know it wont, but it will be bewtiful.

Aliens don't and won't ever exist

    Mulder would disagree :D

I know this may be a personal belief of yours, but of all the thousands upon thousands of galaxies living with their own thousands and thousands of solar systems inside of each and every galaxy would it be a too remote of an idea to think that the odds of another planet with living and willing conditions exists? [IMG]

Given the fact we live in a galaxy which is 100 000 ly's from one end to the other (the galactic nucleus is 20 000 Ly's thick and the disk itself 2000 ly's), our planet is much smaller than a microscopic spec on a galactic scale (let alone the universal one) and nothing would ever change in the galaxy or the universe is Earth alone is blown to bits tomorrow (meaning that we don't matter at all), I'd say there is a pretty good possibility that aliens actually exist (in this galaxy no less).

If life evolved on this planet alone, and you have a very good chance that there are billions of Earth-like planets in this galaxy alone (which is only 1 among trillions of other galaxies in the universe ... some smaller and some far larger than the Milky Way), there is no reason to think that intelligent life would not evolve on other planets in the galaxy/universe (eart-like planets or otherwise).
It would be extremely idiotic to theorize that life can only evolve on a planet such as earth because the universe and nature are far more complex than that.

so ... to the OP ... think carefully before you start talking about things you haven't really thought about.
    :)

In any case, the theory that there are aliens on other planets in this galaxy that are far more technologically developed compared to us (and tell you the truth we are PATHETIC when we have a look at how our species fared throughout history) is greater than an idea that a supernatural deity such as 'god' (which is in my opinion a made up and irrational concept that only limits other people's way of thinking to begin with) exists.

Clarke's third law can easily be applied to the concept of 'god'.
An entity with an ability that humans lack.
Big deal ... we have an ability that animals lack and in our perception created things that they did not.
    Are we 'gods'?
No ... we merely have an ability that they (possibly presently) lack.
Same is with us and any potential aliens that can perform seemingly 'magical' or 'supernatural' aspects.
It's either technology and/or mental development that gives them that ability (so who knows what we can accomplish with enough time).
And at our present stage of development, we know next to nothing on a universal scale.

I could go on, but I don't want to derail the thread too much.

I like the aspect of introducing aliens and advanced technology in games.
But it could be much more diverse as I personally don't prefer just FPS's (given the fact they can be mind-numbing to a large degree).

    Yeah! Sure... what?

No, but speaking of Half-Life 2, doesn't anyone think Gman resembles the CSM (cigarette smoking man) from X-files?

I'm betting that because of the way they set it up, the next will be called "crysis: Exploration", one of the names they trademarked, and it will follow prophet's trek across the island and will continue the storyline a little bit.

This sounds the most plausible......from the time he's abducted early on in the first installment, we don't hear much of anything about him until sometime towards the end (?)

If not though.....they wouldn't really have many other routes to explore (if they want to make game #3 fit in with the overall story arc)

I think the best next thing linked to Crysis will be the mods. Specially Mechwarrior: Living Legends. The screenshots are awesome, it has a very professional looking: http://www.mechlivinglegends.net/

Also there's the possible Galactica mod, by the same team who made the Galactica Homeworld 2 mod : http://battlestarmod.com/

Yes warhead was a very fantastic games. Though it is a shame that Crytek can not put in a few minutes of their time to make a Crysis patch. To make it run as well as Warhead does.

It is rediculous concerning how well warhead runs and how badly the first game runs. They should be the same.

Crtek must get to work to make Crysis to run as well as war head.

yeah that would be nice..but it wont happen. Also the orignal shoudl play even better than warhead because the textures and LOD are higher in warhead.

there out there chilling not caring about Crysis because they are too busy improving their crap Crysis Wars that like 10 people play while the AWESOME single player portion of their games go to to hell.

AND they are working on their next game in the Crysis Saga. Which will hopefully be PC exclusive considering that the crysis trilogy has sold so well.

2mil copies of Crysis and warhead was one of the best selling games on steam.

warhead does not currently have 64 bit support. A patch was made for Crysis Wars to input the feature. But none for the single player game.

Well that kinda sucks, i wonder when this patch will come out. It should give a bit more fps i think, Crysis vanilla gave more fps in a 64-bit environment for me.
