skip the auto-run launcher, install the game directly.
pop-in the dvd, close the auto-run window/game launcher if possible, if not, terminate it through Task Manager under Processes...
right-click on your dvd drive, choose "explore", then find the main installation execution file... i.e. setup.exe or install.exe or something similar...
and install the game from there... -

hmmm... that's weird
your laptop surely can handle Crysis without any problems, and I see that you have the latest modded nvidia driver 169.09, shouldn't be the problem neither.
did you get any error pop-up messages or some kinda error report? or it just goes to black screen and freeze?
Be sure to try to use both DX9 and DX10 and test them out, if black screen shows up, wait couple minutes and see what it does.
the worst you could do, well, just reinstall the game. -
nope didnt and i also reinstalled the game
when i first got the game i had no problems

ScifiMike12 Drinking the good stuff
Make sure you have the latest DX (November 2007 if I'm not mistaken).
Also, what Nvidia driver are you using currently..?? -
it says when i close crysis with task manager that some kind of AppHangB1 problem shows up? -
ok installed the latest DX, reinstalled my 169.09 drivers, reinstalled the game way too many times, got the required windows update for crysis, have the necessary spec, restarted my computer, and IT STILL DOESNT WORK!!!! IM GONNA GO CRAZY!!!!

Check the Event Viewer - right-click Computer and click Manage, click the Event Viewer in the left pane, then double-click the Application log and see if there is anything in there that could tell you what went wrong.

might sound bit crazy, but have you tried using no-dvd crack?
the problem might be your DVD disc, anyways, just download the Crysis no-dvd .exe and replace it with the original in the game directory, might wanna backup the original one first.

This is straight from EA Supports website:
There are several issues that can contribute to issues that happen with running this software on Windows Vista. Please try some of the following troubleshooting steps to resolve your issues:
If you can access the game's option menu, make sure all graphics attributes are set to a lower setting.
If you can access the game's option menu, try running the game in a window. This option can usually be found in the video options menu.
If you are having problems with the DirectX10 version of the game. Try right clicking on the game's icon in the Games tray and select the DirectX 9 version of the executable.
You can try to get the game to work by running it in Compatibility Mode.
Right-click the game's desktop shortcut icon and choose 'Properties'.
In the Properties Panel, click the 'Compatibility' tab.
Place a check in the 'Compatibility Mode' checkbox.
Select Windows XP (Service Pack 2) in the mode box.
Click 'Apply' to save your changes.
If you did not opt to have a desktop icon installed:
Find the game icon listed in your Games directory.
Right-click on the game and click on 'Customize'. This will bring up the Customize menu.
Select 'Play'.
Select ' Edit'.
This will bring up the Properties screen. Click the 'Compatibility' tab.
Check 'Run in Compatibility Mode' and then choose Windows XP (or whatever operating system the game was designed for).
Press 'Apply' then press 'OK'. You will be back at the customize menu.
Close the customize screen.
Now the game is configured to run in Compatibility Mode.
Please note that this will only make the game run in Compatibility Mode if you click on the shortcut that you set Compatibility Mode for. All other shortcut icons (such as in your Start menu) will have to have these changes made as well.
If the game continues to fail, you may need to edit the run features of the game to override User Account Control features in Windows Vista.
Note: You will be altering Operating System security and Parental Controls when performing the steps below. Please be aware that if you follow these steps, you will need to contact Microsoft for further support.
Windows Vista User Account Control Step-by-Step Guide
Pay special attention to:
“Scenario 2: Mark an application to always run elevated” and “Scenario 3: Configure User Account Control”
Pay closer attention to the portion I bolded. That could be your problem as well.
I hope something from the above helps you, good luck!
