Hey everyone.
I recently purchased the HP w2007 monitor and I'm impressed with it. It is nice and all. The only problem is playing css on it. I have an ATI x1400 512 shared card, and 1 gig ram. The game seems to be a bit laggy when I play in full res, 1680 by 1050. I was able to get rid of the frame loss by brining the game down to dx8 and lowering some settings and I got the frame choppiness to go away. The only problem is that I want to lower the res a little because the chat box is tiny and I would like a few more frames. I was messing around with resolutions and everything would put the game at an angle like 1080x1280 (just an example, not sure if these are exact figures). Notice how the smaller number is first, which is width. The computer makes the screen go at a 45 degree angle, which is no fun. All other res's are either too blurry or put the widescreen bars on the top and bottom.
My question is as follows.
Is there a res I can enter in the advanced options which would give me a centered full screen game? I would like to be able to play in 16:10 and not be under the 800x600 area.
Thanks a ton.

Bump for great justice.

Try 1440x900, that is a 16:10 aspect resolution.

I tried setting that res in the advanced options for CSS.
I put
-dxlevel 80 -height 900 -width 1440
and the game goes to a 4:3 aspect ratio with a res of 640x480.

Why are you changing the res there? Just go to your video settings and set it to any resolution using 16:10...

Yeah I try to do that but all the options rotate the screen 90 degrees. So the height is higher than the width i.e. the width would be 900 and the height would be 1440. The screen would turn for some weird reason.
