Currently have a G75VW with GTX 660m, considering upgrading to a GTX 860m laptop; worth it or wait?

Basically as the title states; I'm wanting to move down to a 15in laptop and am considering the Sager NP7538 but I also know that we're at the beginning of the Maxwell architecture; do you think it's worth the upgrade now or should I hold off?

The question is are you only wanting to move down to 15.6" or is your current notebook not sufficient at playing the games you want?

The 860M is a great card. It's better than the 770M (stock). Up to you if you want to upgrade. There will always be something better lurking around the corner.

How well does your 660M satisify your gaming needs? If it's sufficient enough, there's no need to upgrade.

It works well enough; I would appreciate being able to run things better. like The Witcher 2 and ESO. It's also pretty bulky and a little warmer than I'm enjoying. I'd say it's a mixture of both.

You can't go wrong with the 860M. It's a great card.

It plays BF4 on Ultra (4xMSAA) at like 25-30 FPS, up to 40 FPS. On High settings, it exceeds 60 FPS. Not only that, it also runs so cool compared to others. A user tested the 770M and 860M on YouTube, and the 860M outperformed it by a few FPS (2-3 FPS) constantly, but did so while maintaining a temperature below 70C 80%-90% of the time.

I would get the 880M... Whichever way... It will burn everything to the ground and it will easily last 4-5 years...

Weird is that he also shows that the 860m is a bit hotter then 770m. On paper this should be the other way round
