Hi, I was wondering is there any software where I could create a resolution for my 8600gt on my Dell M1530. I am hooking up my M1530 to my Plasma via hdmi. I want to create a 1366 x 768 resolution. I am running Vista 32bit. Thanks

Did you look in the nVIDIA Control Panel, I'm using XP but I think it's the same for both OSs. There should be "Manage custom resolutions" under "Display" on the left.

yes I had looked at nvidia control panel and the closest res is 1280x768. When I select 1280x768 I have an issue with overscan. I dont have an option for "manage custom resolutions"

Try the Official 174.31 drivers from Dell (they are not under the M1530 support page, but can be found on the Inspriron 1720 page).

Try a different driver, like a newer one. They all should have a "manage custom resolution" tab.

Hey Tusin, I was able to download 174.31 from dell, and it did have a "manage custom resolution" BUT none of the resolution I try worked. For some reason, with 174.31 I had issue with the overscan with my plasma. I tried every resolution and still I could not get rid of the overscan. The weird thing is that after I removed 174.31 and used the driver that came with my notebook the overscan issue was gone. 1440x900 is probably the best resolution to my eyes. I apply 1440x900 with 174.31 driver and had major overscan. I remember seeing an option on the nvidia control panel for correct overscan. I could not find that option under 174.31 driver and the driver I used from my dell cd.
