No gameplay yet, but I think they got the feel right, and nobody accused The Witcher 2 of not having awesome gameplay.

Deus Ex kinda looks like Cyberpunk

edit: There's a hidden message in the trailer saying that cdprojekt will be revealing a new title that is much further into development than Cyberpunk on February 5th, most likely The Witcher 3.

So now I have two games to be excited for.

It's an open world RPG, based on the pen and paper role playing game Cyberpunk 2020.

William Gibson published Burning Chrome in 1982 and Neuromancer in 1984.
[edit] Blade Runner premiered in 1982.[/edit]
The Cyberpunk D&D-style RPG was released in 1988.
Ghost in the Shell debuted in 1991.
    Deus Ex debuted in 2000.

Just to clear up the relevant chronology ;)

Perhaps it wouldn't have been so bad if consoles had a bit more influence on Witcher 2. The game is way too laggy on most PCs even on the lowest possible settings. It's the only game I ever tried that is unplayable on my laptop at 1080p, even reducing down to 1280x720 it's still laggy as hell.

Nope, but they accused it of having a "strange" gameplay.

My Vaio F2 (540M) really, really, REALLY struggled with TW2 even at 1366x768 (what I play most games at).

I feel your pain, the combat in TW2 was sometimes like watching a slideshow.

Same here. I didn't even bother to finish it, decided to put it away till better times, just like I did with TW1 back when it came out. Sad really, such a great game.
Wish this will be somewhat more playable.

TW2 was playable (at least for me) as long as you messed with shadows and turned ssao off...if I remember correctly. idk - it's been a while. That said - I have little doubt that this game will be the best looking game on any device when it comes out.

I thought the combat was a lot better in TW2 compared to TW1. TW1's combat was basically like playing a rhythm game and clicking the mouse in the correct sequence, while TW2 felt more "real time" to me.

I'm still confused by all this talk about TW2 being designed primarily for consoles. I thought it was a PC exclusive? Unlike nearly every game it competes against...

It didn't come to the 360 until a year after its PC release. I don't see how that detracted from the core product in any way either. It's still has a strong PC focus.

I also prefer tw2 combat, tw1 felt kinda static and didn't like the timing thing much. Tw2 you feel more vulnerable to attacks and have to concentrate when there are big groups.

Witcher 2 was the most restrictive rpg i played in a long while. I almost felt like i am watching the movie and i cant even influence a storyline.
When you destroying a bad guy in 1v1 scirmish. You are at 100% due to your pro skills and he is at 10% going down fast and then ... ANIMATION... he hits you and you kind of drop. Seriously? Thats by far the most frustrating moment of my 20 years gaming career lol.

Apart from lag due to motion blur and the game being extremely GPU-bound, not optimized to make use of faster CPU, the only problem I had with the combat was that most enemies have a very limited patrol area. In other words, if you take two steps backward, they stop chasing you and your health refills. In other games I've played, the enemies will chase you all over the place.

About the trailer: aren't the cops going to riddle their own officer with bullets? They're spraying bullets at the android woman, while one of their own stands ready to shoot the android woman execution-style.

He's safe since he's to their left while all the bullets that miss are to their right. They also get +100 accuracy to a stationary target.

I'm having a hard time getting excited about this, with no evidence of gameplay. Yeah, the setting is cool, and yeah the trailer is cool... here's hoping the game follows through. It'd be nice to have a really good cyberpunk style open world RPG.

It's a teaser so yeah. But I think it wouldnt be too far off to assume something in the line of a Mass Effect-esque game.

If Mass Effect were open-world, I suppose. It's like a cross between Grand Theft Auto and Deus Ex, but with heavier RPG elements.
