I am patiently waiting for the new $5.00 deals coming out in an hour in a half on Direct to Drive!
I think this might be the week I turned into a gaming addict...I hope they have some good stuff...
How funny would it be if Aion was $5.00? I know it won't because it just came out...But, it would make a lot of people mad.

lol im waiting too. want to pick up some good rpgs.
-
I am interested to see what they come with this week too, but I spent $40 last week getting some games so unless there are some really good ones this week I won't bother.
-
Ya...We will see...The past two weeks have been great!
Bioshock for 5 bucks! Yes! -
There is some weird box glitch going on with the site right now...I think they are preparing for the switch...
So close...Only minutes away...
Am I that big of a loser? -
yes it would seem so.
-
no. i was just about to check it myself
-
Uber $5.00 goodness...I could games for years on this budget...No food needed...Must build mass city in civ. 4 for $5.00....
-
Nope, nothing wrong with getting a good deal.
Maybe I am the loser for not wanting to snag up these deals, I'd really like if I could get a physical copy of the game instead, despite the great deals you can get from Stream, D2D, etc. -
I too was once a physical game disk person myself. However, I am having problems with a housemate of mine...He seems to be stealing peoples stuff left and right, including my fallout 3 game. Thus, If I had it in electronic copy, I could just download it again. Now I am stuck without the disk
I actually like the convenience of being able to download. -
you can burn the disks yourself if you buy from d2d. the same with gog.com
-
Two Minutes!
-
Bummer, did not switch when it was suppose to...Probably a delay...Check back in 10.
-
Haha, that's no fun. On the site they have the news games listed on a countdown by the minute. But, then they don't switch it when the minutes run out. Seems kinda pointless to me.
-
Same here, well I don't have anyone swiping my disks, but I used to need the physical disk. Now after using Steam, gog.com, and direct2drive extensively, I love it! Not only can I download again, I can store a copy on my Windows Home Server, and also not need the stupid disk to play. An added bonus for a laptop especially.
I do miss the big game boxes with all the content, but since they don't offer anything but the game disk and a four page pamphlet with two pages of advertising for a future game, I don't care so much.
I hate game deals like these because I end up buying dozens of games that I will probably never play. I realize I have so many games in my inventory now that if I ever lost my internet connection or couldn't buy any more games, I could be entertained for years, well as long as Steam would let me play them offline (and in most cases you can). I sure would miss BF2 though, lol. -
Deals are up!
Check it out!

In for Drakensang and NWN2... hope they're good...
-
not as impressive as last week, but still solid deals... I'll be picking up the NWN2 games. I've had my eyes on those for a while, enjoyed the Dungeon Siege games.
-
NWN2 I would say is quite different from the Dungeon Siege games. Dungeon Siege is closer to Diablo. NWN is much more skill based (dice rolls on everything). Make sure you get familiar with the Dungeon's and Dragon's ruleset.
-
aye I've heard the combat system is different, but I like having a party-based dungeon crawl type game that I can hop in an out of for quick 30 minute gaming sessions when I need a break.
-
uk selection is lame, no nwn2.
-
you would think that the UK selection would be more robust, since pounds worth more than dollars and all.

rpg is a broad term but if you mean what I like (final fantasy type rpg) the best one I can think of off hand is Phantasy Star Universe for the PC
Its like Zelda kinda with a large Japanese influence. -
All this new digitally downloaded games are actually quite big on region restrictions. Not sure why, seems to me it just reduces the number of games sold. When Mass Effect came out I couldn't buy it locally here in Mexico, and Steam and D2D didn't allow me to buy it either, I had to buy it through Gamestop.
-
How do people feel about eve online?
-
Also, I am surprised that steam online is not trying to compete with these deals at all
-
its a monthly sub. u can buy the game for 9.99 elsewhere not much of a discount.... 14.99/mo sub.
-
as with many other non-mainstream MMO's, it's supposed to be amazing if you have the time to play, the patience to get over the learning curve, and the willingness to hook up with a guild for support.
-
Zelda is a Japanese game...this statement makes no sense XD
-
i was looking for some dnd based games, nwn2 is on sale in NA, not UK though.
-
Sweet, I was about to buy storm of zehir for $15, now I can get it for $5.
-
The only game I am picking up this week is Assassins Creed..It did not get the best reviews...But looks fun to try.
-
its a fun game...for a few days.
the quests are the same each time.
so ur pretty much doing the same thing the whole game. -
Yeah it gets repetitive really quick. I always hated running back down that stupid mountain.
D2D Deals this Week...So close!
