Hey guys, been following Dragon Age: Origins for a little while now. For the life of me I couldn't find a decent gameplay video of this game without some sort of Bioware marketing.

    Until I found this video:

Just thought I'd share, it's a 20 min video of pure gameplay.

Nice find. I wonder it is possible to have a two handed sword wielding mage in that game like in Baldur's Gate. Hell you could even wear plate armor if you had enough strength points as a mage though that disabled casting.

You can use any weapon or armor as long as you meet the strength requirements for it. For mages, there is even an Arcane Warrior class that lets you substitute your Magic stat for your Strength stat as far as these requirements are concerned.

Wow great video. I love the comments, they sound like so much fun!

I'm really excited for this game now. I almost wish this game was multiplayer so I can engage in some of that witty banter.

Though generally I dislike video game commentators, those two were pretty entertaining.

"Oh crap we're in trouble, what should we do?"

    "Pause it!"

That's one feature I did not like. There seemed to be A LOT of pausing. Maybe that was just the guys playstyle, but there seemed to be so much going on that it kinda forced him to pause and assess the situation. Guess I never thought about the tactical side of this game. Could either be very cool or very frustrating, guess we'll have to wait and see.

A lot of what he was pausing to do manually, like having a party member drink a healing potion, you can "program" them to do for themselves.

You can set an individual to something like, '<25% HP -> drink potion', and they'll do it automatically.
