its been a couple of months since dragon age has been released but i still find myself playing it over and over.
i love the old school look and feel of the game although one thing i would have wanted was to kick some a*s to the tune of this is war by 30 seconds to mars.
dont you think it would have been a cooler game with a rocking soundstrack and background music rather than the usual lord of the rings thingy were so used to.
-
No, I do not think that a "rocking soundtrack" would have been better. However, if you want one, it should be easy to modify the game to use a custom soundtrack.
-
Do it yourself dude. Opeth up in that *****.
I played a human noble once, and that was it. I just can't see myself playing as any other race, but I might have to, because in the DA:O world, humans aren't underdogs like they sometimes are in other worlds.
I like the rags to riches idea. -

For momentous events I prefer symphonic music, I find orchestral music is more moving, dynamic and well better.
When I just listen for fun or during a raid in Warcraft, then yeah rock is great.
But as people have said above, I've seen some guides to edit your own music soundtrack for the game. -
well i like orchestral music too its just that its all we hear from fantasy rpg's. and ive been playin rpg's since ultima III. thats a longtime listening to symphonic music. a change would be nice.
im sure i could do it myself if i tried but it would be cooler if it came in-game. -

I don't think rock fits in with the medieval setting... but whatever floats your boat
-
Sacred 2 has rock music, even though they claim it's metal
-
I don't think the rock music would fit for the gameplay itself. Even as a battle theme it would be weird... I think the Dragon Age soundtrack was great. -
Rap would me the most fitting style of music for the DAO universe.
"I sharpen my sword in dat azz, genlocks be falling like flies, it's just a glitch, I'm not a spazz, levellin' up is one of the best highs...N**GA!!!" -

Check out the violence trailer. The rock music fits the battles.
-
i thought the cinematic trailer did a great job.
yeah i never thought it would fit the medieval setting until i saw that.
im just kinda tired hearing the same orchestral music all the time in fantasy rpg's -
also their using the same metal/rock theme in the cinematic trailer of clash with the titans.
so it seems like holywood thinks its a good idea... -
Hollywood also thought The Adventures of Pluto Nash was a good idea.
-
-
Oh no. You actually LIKED the trailer music?
Really? -
yeah i actually thought the song this is war was quite cool.
the words also kinda matches trailer. -
-
-
the music in the trailer is almost as bad as the "join us" slogan they pushed at the end of each trailer... it's not an MMO it's a single player RPG, why do they say "join us"

Well, that was better - not overly great but better than the Violence trailer.

The Dragon Age trailers look and sound like they were built to pander to the tastes of boys barely into their teens. Considering the depth of the game's storyline, I'm not sure it was an entirely accurate representation.

You really liked the This is War better than the Manson one??? The Violence trailer made the game look effin' awesome partially because they had an aggressive sounding track put to it. I'm not a Manson fan, but hearing that song combined with the bloody battles and beasts was the reason that I bought the game, it really made it look epic and brutal.
