Unfortunately, for some reason I can't test it on 3dMark06...it doesn't work well with Vista...any sugestions??

Man that is a serious overclock! Did you go up in increments? Is it stable? I should be able to achieve the same with my laptop when it arrives tomorrow :D

For the second time, lucky bastard, 600 on DDR2. 3dMark06 should work on Vista, try setting the compatibility to XP Service Pack 2. If that doesn't work go into C:\Windows\System32\Futuremark\MSC and look for something called directpll.dll (or something like that) and rename it to something else since there's a weird compatibility issue (I don't know whether they fixed it with a patch or not).

You may not be able to get the memory as high as him since he got some really good stuff, but you should be able to hit 500 which is still a dam good OC.

    Hehe...thx, guys...nice card, indeed. :)

I must admit, when I bought laptop, I've never heard of this card...because, of course it's a brand new...on my previous laptop I had 6600 go nvidia, also very good...but not like this one!

    Version is 4.20.1170

Temperatures are measured ok in Everest, I tried it with other apps, but Everest got plenty of other details and that's the reason I use it.

P.S. I'll search this patch, and then I'll post the results. I think it'll be interesting.

Just little info on undervolting CPU...I was trying to undervolt it at 0.95, but either I don't know how to manage properties in the app...or I can't undervolt it...It just shuts down OS randomly, without BSOD,no matter if I'm surfing the web or decoding video(high CPU usage)...strange issue...I've tried manage RMClock as I found some threads on the other forums how to set this properly, but no luck. :(

If someone has detail procedure, for exactly this AMD proc, how to set it...I'll be gratefull.

Notebook Hardware Control cannot recognize proc, think it's an older version(pre-release 06)...so there is no use of this...but except that, this app is great...so easy to undervolt with my previous laptop on which is Intel Pentium M...it would go to 0.700 like a peace of cake...

Hope, new version will be released soon...

Had you followed the guide here?
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=124420
This should be all you need to learn how to use RMClock since it's similar to NHC, but with more functionality.

I reinstalled Vista yesterday due to some driver problems.
Well, it seems like i can go past 600/500 and still get it to stay stable, but i CoD4 resets the clocks after a short while of playing.
Haven't had this in Bioshock, probably will test this further :p

You're getting the exact same response as mine had (and most likely all will have), it will be stable for one game at xx/yy clocks but it can't be stable for another game at the same clocks. This is exactly what happened and why it's such I said it in my first post, the memory was able to go much higher when doing the CSS Stress Test but I found it artifacted during 3dmark at those same clocks. So you need to tune your clocks for each game unless you decide to have a larger safety margin so you shouldn't have to test for each game.

Someone should make a nice tool which can support individual game profiles etc.

But that thing always causes BSODs and that's why I hate it and don't use it.

AFAIK, RivaTuner is just for nVidia based GPUs. RIght?

Well, I remember that in the old days I've OC`ed my Riva Tnt 2 with it. Can you use it for ATI based GPUs ?

Yep, you can do driver-level OC'ing on ATI and nVidia cards, but I believe it will only do low-level OC'ing on nVidia cards.

So every time I want to play a game with an overclocked setting I need to manually set them with AMD GPU tool?

Isn't this a bit much.. especially considering this tool locks up the system more often than it succeeds in overclocking.

As I PM'd you, I was under 60C under full load, it seems my memory though is holding me back since I can under any game, get it to at least 450, though some can go more. Dam I wish I had GDDR3.

hello , i overclocked my hd2600 ddr2 to 725/500 as i read this thread :D before the stable oc was like 600/500. It is strange that i would get artifact if i go under 600 before ;] tried 3dmark06 and on 1280x800 got score 4093. Gpu temp was 58 at max , however cpu reached 70 :( I envy those who can oc their memory to 600.
