    Okie my spec is..

    Intel(R) Core(TM) Duo Processor T2300
    1.66 GHz, 2MB Cache, 667 MHz FSB
    Intel(R) Media Accelerator 950
    1GB RAM

    I was wondering whether my 640m/e1405 is able to play Guild Wars: Factions or not ? According to http://support.intel.com/support/graphics/intel945gm/sb/CS-021400.htm , 950 is able to play GW, but then Im not sure whether my spec is good enough to run it or not ? Am I able to open to the highest setting in the game ?

    The requirement for GW is..

    Required System Specs:

    * Windows XP/2000/ME/98
    * 800 MHz Pentium III or equivalent
    * 256 MB RAM
    * ATI Radeon 8500 or GeForce 3 or 4 MX with 32MB of video memory
    * 500 MB hard drive space
    * Internet connection
    * DirectX 8.0

    Recommended System Specs:

    * Windows XP/2000/ME/98
    * Pentium III 1GHz or equivalent
    * 512 MB RAM
    * ATI Radeon 9000 or GeForce 4 Ti Series with 64MB of video memory
    * 500 MB free hard drive space
    * Internet connection

    Sorry if all these sounded noob, but I have to admit that I am noob in pc stuffs.

    Thanks for helping. :D

    Your spec is generally fine, but the gma950 is a pretty weak graphics option. It should run it, how well you'll just have to find out.

    Going from the recommended spec's (Radeon 9000/Geforce 4) you should be alright to play the game on high settings. The gma950 is, as I said, pretty weak but it's roughtly the equivilent of a Geforce card.

    So, thats means it should be no problem if I play it with high, max settings right ?

    Although Guild Wars is an older game and can run on just about anything, the GMA950 is still a weak integrated card. It will lag ocassionally at high settings for that reason. You should look for a higher-powered machine if you can afford it.

    For a few extra quid you can get an ATi x1300 instead of the standard gma950. Definately worth it - the GMA950 is poor and not guaranteed to run alot of games. The x1300 isn't exactly a great card either but its solid enough and will play pretty much any new game on lowish settings and older games on high settings.

    The 640M is an Inspiron E1405 - the only video card available on that is the GMA950 unfortunately. You'll have to step up to the 15.4" E1505 if you want a better video card option.
