This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Due to my Intel Atom 330 getting pretty outdated im only hosting a lowly Mumble VOIP server on a minimal Ubuntu server install. If you want to use it just shot me a PM. Hopefully i can save up enough to buy new hardware based on AMDs AM1 socket.

    Greif issues and low popularity kinda made Terraria a waste of resources.
    But im getting ton of attention on Killing floor. xD

    Made a small misconfiguration with enabling a server password but once gone the players started flowing in.

    Heh haven't played Minecraft since the Alpha... haha in fact someone keeps trying to reset my password probably seeing as I am inactive lol. Aniway I'll give multiplayer Minecraft a go ;)

    I use mine quite a lot now for my live streams. It's so much better than TS & Vent.

    I hardly ever chat on steam via text anymore as well, I just tell people to mumble up.

    Im hosting it at home on a Intel Atom 330 1,6GHz @ 2,1GHz with a Nvidia Ion chipset.
    Also using a OCZ Vertex Plus (Not Sandforce) 120gb SSD drive on it for snappy Minecraft load times.
    My OS of choice is Windows Server 2008 R2 since it integrates easier with my network.

    Since it was low on activity i shut it down, but i kept the server files.
    Il see if i cant get it up and working again.

    But im moving to my new appartment in May 1. so the server might be m.i.a. for a week or two while my ISP hooks me up with this sweet 60mbit up / down line.

    My Mumble usually got some regular Battlefield 3 gamers off NBR and their friends.
    Il probably be playing BF3, ME3 & Killing Floor this weekend so might be on Mumble.

    KF used very little bandwidth. I run three instances, one of which is modded, on a 20/4 connection.
