While many folks are playing RAGE on PC and not running into issues, we’re aware that some of you are experiencing issues with screen tearing and texture issues. These problems can be attributed to driver issues, and we’re currently working with Nvidia and AMD to resolve them as quickly as possible.

We know that you want to experience RAGE at its absolute best, so we’ll continue to use this blog post to keep you posted.

    Updates:

Yesterday we posted the latest beta drivers for both card manufacturers on our blog. We’ve learned that AMD is reporting issues with their driver update, and you should not use it.
Note on the Battlefield 3 beta drivers: CTD is 100% with those drivers. You need to update to the most recent driver. Grab it here!
Nvidia users should try updating RAGE to the current beta driver. When this driver is updated, we’ll let everyone know.
Stay tuned for more update… and thank you for your patience!

Dude. AMD has released drivers that fix OpenGL issues with Rage. You should request to have this thread deleted!
    - I've flagged your post since it is now deceiving and untrue.

Little late to the party. AMD users aren't having issues with these drivers right now.

Also the texture issue with Rage is an Engine problem. In order to make the game more console friendly, ID Tech 5 doesn't render/show textures unless you are looking at it. Because you can't turn as fast with controller, the texture pop in isn't as noticable. But on PC it is.

AMD has resolved the issue so the texture pop in is the same as it is on Nvidia now. Whatever texture pop in is there, it's because of ID TEch 5. Blame Carmack and his new love for consoles.

Huh? I'd like every game to do that. Why waste resources on something you can't see?

Because the textures don't render fast enough. So when you turn, you see textures popping in. No one likes that. You don't either, if you experience that.

So I'm assuming these drivers dated 10/4 are the latest "updated" updated drivers to use? They'll improve RAGE but also work with BF3 Beta and all other games? If so I'm gonna load em now! Excited to play Rage, haven't even loaded it yet.... dang work ha
