    DPI on mouses?

    Hey i just got a new mouse today with 800 DPI, is that good?

    What does DPi mean and is it good to have a lot or little?

    I can however say that this new mouse sucks because when i move it slowly its super slow and if i just move it little faster it flies opp like a tornado. It just plain sux, my old mouse cost 1$ and this one cost 10$ ****!

    How can i find a good mouse?

    I also got a new black gel mouse pad and it feels very strange i prefer my wooden table.

    Actually my new mouse worked quite okay on a 100% white background, my old one didnt even work at a white background. It is however extremly fast and when i turn mouse sens down it becomes very choppy

    10 bucks is a really cheap mouse too. 800 DPI is fine for most people. Is the mouse speed problem only when you are in Windows? If so, you might want to try looking if you have mouse acceleration on or not.

    DPI is dots per inch (incorrectly named for mice), and the higher you go the faster the mouse will move. some mice like the sidewinder have switchable DPI settings. i used mine at around 800, was a bit slow for me but it worked fine.

    DPI is the number of steps a mouse reports every time you move it an inch(dots per inch). More DPI = more accuracy/sensitivity. 800 is fine, I think that's the standard DPI right now. I myself have 1800, which is average for a gaming mouse. I can't stand low DPI mice.

    These are great if you're looking for a nice one.

    my old mouse was like 100 DPI

    My new one worked nice once i got a white surface the back mouse pad i got was really bad for it
