Just finished this game and I have to say another top-notch, "Real" RPG from an eastern developer. After this one and The Witcher, I believe the europeans are the only ones making , what I consider, Real CRPG's !

If your looking for an A1 production , in the RPG genre, this ones a winner !

Maybe Bioware will be able to dissuade me with Dragon Age !

Just curious, what makes this game and the Witcher (I haven't played either) more "real" rpgs than games like fallout 3, fable, or oblivion?

My favorite genre is RPG's and have played just about all of them, including hybrids like FO3, Mass Effect , KOTOR............etc.

In the newer, I call them Hybrid Rpg's, it seems the stat system is watered down, fewer choices as how to develope your character and more emphasis on the "Bling-Bling". !

While I like pretty games as much as anyone, it does not garauntee a good game !

I spent a couple of years on Bethesda's FO3 forum, following and commenting on where the game was going, since I was a Fallout fan from way back and was leary of a dev. doing FO3, that gave us Oblivion !
Some people like Oblivion, I for one did not !
And sorry to all I offend but, what we ended up getting was "Oblivion with Guns"! FO3 is a decent game, as is KOTOR and Mass Effect, but to me they are Generic,watered-downed,FPS-crowd semi-RPG's !

If you want to really know the difference between these games and "Real" crpg's try one or more of these :

    Fallout
    Fallout 2
    Planescape: Torment (Highly Recommend)
    Bauldar's Gate Series
    Icewind Dale
    Vampire The Masquarade: Bloodlines
    System Shock 1 and 2
And of course Drankensang and The Witcher

It looks like Bioware might be returning to their crpg roots with DragonAge...............I sure hope so !

If I'd of paid the customary $49.99, for a new release, for Drankensang, I would of felt I got my moneies worth !

At 30 bucks, well worth the investment !
