Now I know what to buy next month. Time to squeeze my complete GBA, SNES, and Genesis libraries into this little guy.

    Does it have save state?

    Apparently you can save anywhere.

They sell it for $99 on that site but you can get it for $75 if you search the other name ''Dingoo A320''.

There are way better ways to emulation then this thing. Will not discuss them here though.

seriously.... I had to... for it to do what I wanted it to do.

I used a program called "LightSpeed" .... pushed the FSB up from 104MHz to 143MHz.

the Multiplier is set to 3x.

    so the default is 3 x 104MHz = 312MHz

    I OC'ed to 3 x 143MHz = 429MHz (stable) :D

The ARM processor is supposed to handle 450-500MHz... so why not OC.

Now I can play Mpeg4/Xvid/DivX media with 60 FPS.... and play all games without lag... woot. :)

P.S. It does crash (once every 1-2 weeks), but thats probably due to the virtual memory hacking (to give me more RAM for my games and stuff).

I could have gotten the Win mobile version of the phone, but its too bloated as compared to the PalmOS. ;)

Nice, clean-looking little gadget. I already do all that with my hacked PSP, though, plus play PS1 & PSP titles and miscellaneous homebrew.

I'll shut up there before I end up falling on the wrong side of the rules.

I like HTC products... like the Tilt... but I really want multi-touch, dedicated keyboard, and something that everyone else doesn't have.

Why do you think I got a custom notebook... over a known brand.... uniqueness sometimes means a lot to me.... because I do not like people being able to identify my stuff. ;)

... so they have to approach me to ask "what kind of notebook/phone is that?" :D

cool concept but no start + select buttons? Fail lol

I'll use my EEE 1000H its not much bigger and I gain

    > Mame
    > N64
    > Bluetooth (fore controllers or headphones)
    > Internet
    > Save States
    > Hacking Save States
    > Many more keys
    > Able to use gamepads
    > + More

Though $99 vs $400 is a difference and the EEE while small wont fit in your pocket exactly.

Though there is stuff to emulate these games for just about every handheld, so if you have a DS or PSP or something already you can use those.

Heh back tracking to Gophn's overclocked Palm, never had the treo but i overclocked my T5 it had the 416mhz Intel XScale ARM cpu pushed it pretty good. Only time I had issues was video play back and not an issue thanks to application based under and overclocking.

Always wanted the dual battery game console that ran palm OS but it was a flop and the PSP beat it out pretty well.

All the popular players out there can't even play that many formats let along have stable and fast enough emulators. It is not bad at $99 price point. If it had wifi & Browser integration, it would have been perfect for me.

It's good to know that there are hack to enable that kind of support. I do not own an iPod that came before Ipod Touch, and there isn't a firmware that plays the other media smoothly. There's mplayer from Cydia but it lags, unplayable, when playing large avi or mkv.

Your palm probably can do better than my Sony W760, I cant quite get the bitrate it says it should without playback issues. I wish I could OC my Sony.

But the good thing is I got TWO W760 phones for free just with a contract extension, tossed a cheap 8gb card in there and now I am rockin my tunes while bike riding and stuff with my bluetooth Motorola S9HD's just like I had planned.

It was hard to find a good mp3 player with bluetooth and I didnt want two devices to carry around getting a good phone that can do both is the ultimate solution. Like said in other threads though I am interested in the ZuneHD but mostly for movies honestly not for music as the phone does that perfectly fine.

True enough and I thought that before I posted but seeing how they listed it I have my doubts. You dont need a container for AAC or H264 :p I can play them raw if I want.

    Straight off the Gameboy Micro.

Seriously, when I can emulate all those platforms (and DS on my netbook) on almost every device I own, for free, what's the point to this?
