For those of you that are planning on picking up Duke Nukem Forever it's time to put up those spoiler guards. Pirates have already released a full version of the game, leaving the floodgates open for spoilerific activities of all sorts in the coming week. Duke Nukem Forever was meant to be under wraps for most of the world on June 10th, and the US June 14th, but all that has obviously changed.
Of course once again it's the Xbox 360 version of a major game hitting pirate channels first, something that publishers used to bash the PC platform over as some sort of excuse to shift their focus away. It leaves me wondering just when publishers are going to start to acknowledge the console problem, or does it not matter as long as copies are still flying off shelves?

Yep, pirate xbox titles are out much before PC versions.
And the shift to consoles is as the shift in our society - people nowadays are lazy and want easy money without working, so do game developers. Why would they sweat to make modern pc games when it's much easier and cheaper to make console games with the same graphics engines from 5 years ago? -
King of Interns Simply a laptop enthusiast
....well actually I did have a first gen gameboy a looong time ago haha
-
With regards to Skyrim being developed on consoles, I really don't care as long as the game turns out good.
Let's not forgot Oblivion was console-centric as well, and it's very highly regarded. Even Morrowind was on the original Xbox. -
Well its dum i have duke already downloaded from steam but have to wait for release ? if its ready why not release it and lets get to some cheawing gum and kicking Arsses
I think these game developers need to put there foot down and say ok if we are going to release on PC,Xbox,PS3 then we need to support them not just making console ports or pc to console but work on every system to the max not just port junk like crysis 2 man what a let down there.

I bet the game will be great, regardless of which platform it was primarily developed towards. -
Is it a simultaneous release on both PCs and consoles for Skyrim?
-
The game will be great. Current engines are designed to be able to make one product on many platforms, makes sense in more than one way. Every version will play and ensure and even game experience for the consumer regardless of the platform they are buying it on, Rage and even FB2 both focus on ease of crossplatforming a game, UE3 has been doing this since the beginning.

Solution is DRM for consoles.
Ahahahaha. -
The only thing DRM has ever done is prevented me from ever paying money for AC2.

You still need a modded machine to run pirated games. For PC, you need a computer and google.
That's why they focus on consoles more than anything. Casual pirates are not nearly as common in the console market. -
Doesn't matter. Console gamers vs. PC gamers with latest titles is about 10:1. So strictly numbers the consoles probably have more hacked games than PC, just consoles typically sell more copies.
