"An update is available for Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2 which provides new functionality and performance improvements for the graphics platform"

It is mainly to improve DX 11 performance & some people confirmed having huge performance gains in different DX11 benchmarking softwares & DiRT2 FPS gains

so if you are interested you can check it out:

"I did notice and insane improvement in the Tropics v1.3 benchmark though. I'm talking like a 45% improvement. I had a score of like 78fps//1860 in Dx11, x8aa x16af. Before it was WAY lower"

according to a guy on AMD Game forums

another guy there also commented on the updated files which some are for 2D rendering & some for DX 10 so he is assuming there are some improvements in these fields too

unfortunately I have no DX10 or DX11 benching software and 3Dmark 06 which aint 10 or 11 gives same scores

I'm seeing a very slight increase on old (9.12) ati drivers with unigine. Not a 45% increase though.

    dx10 before | dx10 after | dx11 before | dx11 after

Might get better results with newer drivers (ie 10.8) or in actual game usage, I'll post back later if I see a difference in games.

I am guessing G73 stability issues. 9.12 and 10.1 are the only drivers that are immune to stability issues that many G73 users are having.

Thanks for the find on this graphics update. Unfortunately, I don't have any before/afters to share.
