    Guys,I got my laptop,and it is great,but when I try to run game,it says"Game cannot run bc of dx version....install dx9" what shoud I do?
    P.S. game is FSX

    no,due to a very good reason(I COULDN'T FIND 7811 in San Francisco!!! :mad:) I got HDX 18t...still good :)

    I got it 1 hour ago,so far so good...great mm notebook,got 4500 3dmarks 1280x1024,but can't get my games working!!!

    have you let the vista update thingy run? also, check if there's a patch for the game itself.

    no patch for game,vista is updated-I have noticed that the is installed in Program files(x86) folder....

    EDIT:happened in Hitman:BM too...

    try some more games. if it happens with any more, we can be fairly sure it's some sort of error on the system side, and not the games themselves.

    'tis what i was thinking too. apparently, DX10 doesn't include DX9, as they're two separate libraries/files.

    yea i had that problem when i first got my laptop downloaded DX10 went to play a game and it wouldn't work, had to spend ages and then found on google something about DX9 runtime files so i thought what the heck, downloaded them and it worked xD
