There is none 'released' right now, you'll have to wait a bit. There are speculation of units, but of course, until its released, I wouldn't anticipate on it too much.

If you are referring to a quad core notebook processor, they won't have one until 2009 at the earliest. Even the successor of penryn (forgot the name, end of 2008) will still be using dual core processors.

If you were to buy a notebook today, I doubt there will be anything you need that will use DX10 exclusively by the time you need to replace the notebook.

I'd go ahead and buy a laptop today (that's what I am doing).

I'm not sure if you are reffering to Gilo, but that will be "multi-cored", so I assume it will be quad core. That processor is planned for the end of 2007, and even if Intel run into some delays, its probable that the processor will hit the market some time in the first half of 2008.

A quick search in our forums will yield a number of threads about DX10 and its expected debut. Of course it is all based on speculation at this point.

Last I heard, second half of 2007 is about the earliest we can expect some real progress in mobile GPUs. But hopefully something will emerge sooner than that.

There have been no announcements to date, though.

The first notebooks with powerful DX10 vga will ship in May-June, IMHO.
Perfomances will be very interesting for X2600 and Go 8600: they will score about 4000 points in 3DMark06 (the Inquirer reported 4500 for desktop 8600). Obviously these are only rumors. ;)

Well the only DX10 GPUs for notebooks I've heard about are the ATi MR X2600 and the Nvidia NB6P or whatever it was named. They were in MSI notebooks showed off at CES. I'm looking forward to getting hopefully a 15.4" notebook by the end of this year with an ATi X2600 inside of it, or maybe even a mobile version of the X2800 or ooh, even the X2900 :D
