Dark Souls on PC Petition

Dark Souls is currently a console-only exclusive that got critical acclaim and very high ratings upon release ( trailer).

There is a petition to get the developers to port this game over to PC, so that we PC gamers can enjoy some of the gaming goodness too.

The petition has already caught the attention of the publisher of the game (Namco Bandai). It needs more support to persuade them that it would be a worthy endeavour!

Why would they care? I just signed the petition with a fake name, and fake email address.

 

It's to show the developer/publisher there's a market for the game.
Won't help unless it hits the 1 million mark.
And above all that, it's still up to the dev/pub

I'm currently playing through Demon Souls on the PS3 (and loving it) and have always hoped that Dark Souls would eventually be releases for the PC.

Yeah I signed like a week ago, and it's good to see Namco-Bandai has taken notice of the interest. They really could make some good money with a reasonably priced Steam release.

With ANY petition, sign with your real info or don't sign at all. Otherwise you discredit the entire petition.

Signed with my real name and real email, and I don't even want to play the game. But I want other PC players--the type who are always grousing about the lower difficulty level of games to have something like this to challenge them.

I personally play most games on "easy." I don't have the time to build up high skill level for most games (I game a couple of hours per week), so just like to play through for a story and a taste of the gameplay. So this game is NOT for me.

Work prevents me from accessing the petition website, but I will when I get home...soley for my NBR brothers and sisters. I have no interest in playing a console port, and it just seems ironic that (m)any people that complain about console to pc port quality (or other issues) would want this, no matter how good the game is on the console.

 

There has to be a dozen console only games that I want on PC.

I was going to sign to help the cause... then went to read the TOS and when it took me to a broke page... I was like, hmm nevermind.

 

Not gonna bother since I have a PS3 and, well, internet petitions have never really worked anyway in my experience.

There are so many PS3 games I'd love to have on PC so that I can play them on my laptop on go, but I know that's not gonna happen.

 

I signed even though I know nothing about this game. I did it for the sake of PC gaming itself.

 

The fact that they have mentioned keeping an eye on the number so the petition shows that it can make a difference.

Perhaps If we do nothing, then we are guaranteed nothing. If we do something, perhaps we may get something even though we are still guaranteed nothing.

 

I definitely support this as long as the port is high quality. I've really wanted to get my hands on these games, but I've really only had access to a PC.

If we can do that to FRICKIN' CONGRESS, imagine how effective a strong enough internet petition would be to a video game company that has already said it's interested in the results of the online petition.

 

Dark Souls is an amazing game and I do hope they do release it. You guys should play it if you like a challenging game with a very nice atmosphere.

I loved it and its predecessor Demon's Souls.
