Oh my gooood I'm so hyped for this. Darksiders 1 was probably one of the best games I have ever played!

I'll update when I can find a better quality oneLast edited by a moderator: May 6, 2015 -
I cannot wait for this, loved Darksiders. XD
-
I don't get the 1st story.
1.Why did the Angels attack Hell and got sucked out?
2.How come War is the only one got set upped instead of the other three? -
I believe its because the 7 seals were broken prematurely. Abbadon broke the 7th seal and the council set up War saying he did it. Darksiders 2 takes place at the same time as Darksiders 1. Its like a side story not a direct sequel.
-
^
Oh then the other rider called Death is there to save his brother War?
Meaning the council is the culprit along with Hell?
-Thanks for the reply. -
Here is a pretty good rundown of the plot from wikipedia.
Spoiler alert etc.
-
Hopefully Death scythe will be much better than the one War used in D1.
-
"Raaazieel...!" "Little demon!"
... and I can't remember the other quotes enemies yelled at you in Defiance
That trailer looks really good, I hope it comes out in better quality, because I want to listen to the song without cracking. Death's design is ... interesting, but I can't go over how much it looks like Raziel. Not that it's a bad thing, mind you. It's just bugging me.
Other than that, what can I say? I haven't played Darksiders yet... I don't think my omnipotent laptop can quite handle itI have heard mostly praise about it, and what criticism there is, is not really devastating, so I'm hoping this one turns out even better. And that I have something to play it on, of course.
-
If Abaddon became the destroyer after he died from Straga, Then who would be the Destroyer ever since?
Sorry -
1) Heaven tries to blame Hell as instigators in the eyes of the Council. So they break 6 seals and glued them back (by the Ulthane). Then Hell attacks first, then the angels and then automatically the Horse Riders should've attacked automatically... if all the seals were broken. It is not (too) clear why War responded.
2) It is not very clear why the others were not involved, or rather why War was involved. -

I just got an email from GMG:
-
Downloaded and ready to rock and roll when I get my new laptop
BTW
The game takes place when WAR is at prison in another realm. DEATH fights to find out the truth. The whole shebang takes place BEFORE we all got to play WAR in the first Darksiders game

Finally available in Europe.
I was a bit disappointed by the lack of graphic settings but apparently THQ promised to provide

I think I'm going to hold off and hope that it gets marked down a bit for the Steam holiday sale.

I pre-ordered it on GMG for ~33$. If a deal on it pops up, i'll post it
But don't feel sad, it lacks a lot of PC related stuff like graphic settings like i said above and a few other bugs (got stuck at the menu background image after accessing it and trying to resume gameplay - the most annoying).
I'll probably wait for a patch myself, i don't know, i'll decide after playing it a little. -
BUY THIS GAME EVERYONE
Sorry for the fanboy-ism-ish-ness -

Agree, really impressed with it.
Jaug, do you get stuck after trying to resume gameplay from accessing the menu?
The game doesn't freeze though.
EDIT: scratch that, this game doesn't like multiple monitor setups. Disconnecting the 2nd and 3rd monitor fixes this -
They announced that they'll try to fix it, but they've got a lot to fix once they release a patchjust stalked their forums
But man is this game good? RPG + MMO, w/e you want to call it! One can literally do anything, wear anything and kill hordes of monsters, and the story is just epic.. I sure as hell hope this game doesn't get outsourced like AC (although it's a great too)
- kinda need to know how the other horsemen do -

I just found it. Wanted to confirm that was the cause:
-
Don't worry, the bugs will eventually rear their ugly head. Still a good game, fortunately i didn't encounter any thing that truly broke the game on PS3, it came pretty close though. Finishing the storyline and a couple of quests should take about 20 hours or so. Finishing everything a whole lot longer, but man are there fetch quests in that game.
It's still a blast to play, it's no Skyrim, but still a lot of fun and you play as Death.
I too want to know how the other horseman will fare, but only time (and sales) will tell if they make a Darksiders III. -
-
I clocked a total of 23:40:30 and got to level 21 after finishing the storyline and likely 2/3 of the quests (excluding the super long quests, think life shard gathering style if you want a reference to the first game). So about twice the time it took me to finish the first i'd say.
-
How is the combat compared to the original? Some of the enemies, especially the angels, in the original were really annoying to fight. Also, IIRC, some of the weapons (like the gun) were basically worthless.
-
So no more retardo gun -
There is still a gun which has it's uses, does some amount of damage, but you'll be back to your scythe and whatever secondary weapon you got equipped fast enough, except for a few situations where it does come in handy.
It's nice that you have a good range of secondary weapons though from fast claws/blades to slow axes and hammers. There is one pair of claws with life stealing properties that ensures you'll be able to regain health rather easily in all but the hardest boss fights. -
Whoops! Browser Settings Incompatible!
Oh yeah!!!! PC Patch :3 see all the goodies, so awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited, sorry -

Believe me or not, my GTX680M at stock clock still couldn't maintain average 60FPS when running Darksiders II with 16xQ CSAA (GPU usage 99%), but doesn't stutter at all.
On the GTX675M at stock clock this game stutters like crazy and averaged at 28FPS when you run it with 16xQ CSAA, such a demanding game for a console port.
-
Massive amounts of AA will make any game slow.
-
-
The game ran majority of the time within acceptable frame rates on my laptop (considering the hardware)... though admittedly, there were several battles where the FPS dropped below 25 FPS (and sometimes well below)... it wasn't unplayable... just slower (and it didn't last long).
I do agree though that the game is very demanding when taking into account its a console port - which is something the developers should have paid a lot more attention to.
Darksiders 1 seemed a lot more optimized in that regard.
I think its very possible that they don't really care about the PC ports that much, and on another side, they might also think not optimizing the game might also serve as an incentive to prompt some people to 'upgrade' their hardware so they could play the game at acceptable levels.
Graphics wise, the game does look pretty good... but ultimately, it shouldn't really be anymore demanding than Darksiders 1 (or at least, marginally more demanding). -
The game is absolutely beautiful, love it
such a thing.
Would advice running it windowed and a smaller resolution if one wants to have full AA, works great here
