From what I understand the single player game is non-linear and therefore is not the same each time you play.
Question 1 - Does the AI always attack the same each time you play or does it use different strategies?
Question 2 - are the loot drops always the same?
Question 3 - Will 2 hd 3870s be enough to play this at high resolution?
Thanks!

diablo.. can I beg you to give your opinion on questions 1 and 2? I am debating on getting the game but I hate when the AI does the same thing no matter what over and over. I know it has multi-player but I dont always have network access. Thanks! And THANK YOU for answering Q3.

loot drops are anything from chainswords, plasma rifles, flamers, heavy bolters, commanders gear, armor...basically all the gear you use.
without playing through DoW 2 again, i couldnt tell you if the AI uses different strategies, but as far as i can remember, there isnt much of a different attack strategy that the AI uses. i can only comment on single player, not multiplayer. -
The AI is predictable after a while, but this is after about 70 hours into this game, so not right away.
I can max it on my rig just fine, a powerful CPU is more important in your case, one 3850 could max that game just fine. -
The single-player campaign is very repetitive, and will get boring after a while. I couldn't imagine playing it twice, even if loot drops are random. There is no AI as such, because the enemies are located all around the map and just sit there while they wait for you to come and kill them, more or less.
The single-player skirmishes entertained me for quite a while, though.
My suggestion is to wait for Chaos Rising and hope they have new game modes and that the new campaign is much better (likely, it will be). -

Thanks Narsnail and Histidine... I hope you find work soon. Being out of work is tough these days. We have the best workforce in the world. Shame others dont think the same way.
Best Wishes,

loop drops are different ive played the campaign 3x
the ai gets repetitive yes but multiplayer is where you wanna be- especailly the last stand.
imo opinion dow2 is almost like 2 games in one. the skirmish and vs multiplayer is actually an rts while the campaign and the last stand is an action-rpg-lootfest like diablo. the downside only is that it doesnt have randomly generating maps for the campaign/last stand.
can you imagine how awesome it would be to have ever changing maps and a great variety of loot in this game!
but as it stands its already a great game, that kinda missed out on being an excellent game -
You played through the campaign 3 times?
You, sir, have way more patience than I do.
I never actually played the multiplayer online, on account of my lack of friends and my stubborn, Yahtzee-like* refusal to associate myself with "those" people (with a few embarrassing exceptions) that you meet anonymously online to play a video game with.
However, I thought the game had tons of potential. If they had only not been pressured to rush the game out the door before its time. But I'm fairly confident that this expansion (and maybe one or two after it) will be a very worthy update. It will almost be as if the game had been in development for an extra few months!
*Yahtzee as in the Zero Punctuation guy, not as in the dice game.
OT: I did find work, thanks
