a friend of mine stopped playing the game and he gave it to me, I havent been interested in rts for quite a long time but this game seems really good and interesting.
My only issue is that everything in the game is so large for the area displayed. I cant seem to zoom out to a level I am comfortable with, anyone been able to fix this?

you sure your on max resolution... stupid q i know... but still

go to options>graphics>resolution and set it to the highest setting :p

ALSO - go to the game folder youve installed it in - if in steam thatd be:

    Steam>steamapps>common

then click on the 'Graphicsconfig' '.exe' file... then youll get all the graphics options come up... you can play with it from there - what i used to do was just make the game windowed, that way it took up a lil space and i played it in the background of doin other things (normally watching tv or something) i guess thats one way to go hehe ;)

if you dont like SS - maybe you should take a look at dow2... theres free beta on atm through steam, and itll be out soon too - pretty good game, if your machine can handle it :p

    hope this helps!

No, I and many others played online while using this mod. Relic pretty much conceded that the zoom mod is the only way for people with widescreens to have a decent field of view.
