Starting July 7 at 1pm Pacific time through July 10 at 1pm Pacific time, you can play Day of Defeat: Source for FREE. Just go to http://www.steampowered.com/index.php to play. You need to make a steam account which is free to download the game.

I was hesitant to get the DoD Source. So I will definately be checking this out. Just wanted to let everyone else know so they can get in on the good deal. :D

    Enjoy :) ,
    Tim

    *edit: Opps...Wrong link. ROTF*

Is it a trial version lasting those 3 days? Or are they giving it away free?

It is the full game...however you don't get to keep it. Once the time period is up you will not be able to play anymore. I am sure it will ask you if you want to purchase the game. Of course you can just say no. It is just a nice way to test out the full game for a few days for free :)

You have the wrong website posted. The URL is www.steampowered.com. By the way, I have Day of Defeat:Source. I love the game, the graphics are awesome and the gameplay is intense :D. I cant wait to play it on the Inspiron E1705 I just purchased.

Yeah thats what a trial version is. A full version that only lasts a short time.

God I love this game! EASILY choose this over CounterStrike every time. Up there with Halo 2 as my favourite online experience.

Seriously worth it, especially with the new maps and gameplay type. Addicted to the Colmar map at the moment.

There were lots of people playing last weekend. Many noobs! The sad thing is, every time there is a free weekend, there are always lots of hackers / glitchers. I'm an admin on this one DODS server, and personally banned several people. Now I just want a free weekend of Red orchestra, so I can take my turn being a noob, and also decide if I like it enough to actually buy it. ;) For any DODS players out there, whats your favorite map? Mine is dod_omaha_v1. It's a custom map, but its mostly the only map I play. :)
