    Is it cool to leave our Steam IDs if we are mean and generally disagreeable? I actually looked at Dayz and was intrigued. Haven't pulled the trigger yet though. I take it you would recommend the game then?

    Friendly is such a bad word in Dayz SA. Most of the the time is more like Fire... Fire rather then friendly :D . Played it with a few friends for a while. At the beginning of the alpha it was real easy to Solo it. Kind of like like the Dayz mod. Not you need at least 2-3 ppl to help or a night server. But the game is fun. The content and updates have improved over time but still not like the the mod.

    Can add me to your list of friendlys (Steam:mvalge; dayz SA user is DH48)...will not shoot you in the back...not at first anyway :D

    You definitely want a group to run with after the first couple hours lol. You'll get the usual " I'm friendly, I'm friendly! Boom, your dead lol "

    Let me tell you what... This game is time consuming!

    DayZ (Standalone) is pretty much only for survivalists so far. In order to survive (alone), you need to kill other players before they kill or see you, or avoid them altogether. You won't last long trying to be friendly in this game. Not anymore. The best thing to do is to play with at least two other friends you know, and then people will usually avoid you guys.

    Here's my character: All of my gear is camouflage/painted green. I avoid players by walking through the woods and only hitting up towns when I'm low on food/water. And if I think a player is following me, I take the high-ground, go prone, and wait. I've once sat there for almost an hour waiting for some guy to finally show up and then shot him down.

    I have no idea why I'm playing a black female character, but it doesn't matter much. The game glitches, though. If I take off my shirt and vest, my arms are white, LOL. :D

    I don't believe there are ghillie suits or silencers for weapons, yet. I've never come across either of them. Either would be nice to have, though.

    Ive not seen ghilie suit either but ive had silencers for M4 and pistol, im similar to you Dre, only surfacing when i need to as there is a lot of "im friendly"...... Dead. Going on at the minute.

    I find if you meet someone in the towns it either ends up kill or be killed, yesterday i got handcuffed by a Group of 4, stripped naked then shot, so now i stay clear of groups

    Does the silencer even work ? have not gone trough the last change logs but when it came it did not work. Still got zombie spawns near you.

    J.Dre your gear is much better for stealth playing. I have yet to find a military backpack... most of the time i play i am alone and when you no zombies at a base and te doors closed Nope...nope ...nope.

    As mentioned 1-2 friends and your good to go. Usually helps is one of them is good with a mosen and gives you cover.

    If you go to the military base at the SW airfield (outside the south side of the airfield) ule get kitted right out, and if theres nothing u like..... Change the server and repeat
