Here's the gamespot link to the story.

I enjoyed the 1st one, ran fine on my current laptop with the resolution on 1280 widescreen. The only thing I'm worried about is DRM measures like Securom or worse still something similar to what Ubisoft is pulling on all major releases at present.

More toys to slice and dismember aliens sounds like fun, if it comes out next year I'll have a newer system to better enjoy it with.

I quite enjoyed the first too. I'm glad they changed there minds to bring it out for PC, Now we have to see what DRM it will have, Not that i will care, I'm stuck with Ubisofts DRM for the new Prince of Persia.

Hopefully it wont be a port of the console version so it should have decent mouse and control support.

I still need to buy the first one on PC, though a friend and I beat a the PS3 version. I might just buy the second one for PC.

The PC version sold quite dismally in comparison to the console version and I feel obliged to buy it for PC because of that. It's funny that it was on PC considering all the game review/news sites hardly even acknowledged it and the development lead even got onto Jeff Kheighly for saying it was "coming out on the PS3 and 360" and then the lead said ".....and PC". Perhaps a labor of love just to release on PC this time around for the second game? Whatever, I'll get it on my PC before my PS3.

It's only $19.99 on steam, definitively will be picking it up shortly.

Very happy to hear they changed their minds.

    Lol.

But at least turning VSync off fixed the issue. Menus were still a bit sloppy feeling but it didn't bother me too much. Seems most games are like this nowadays anyways *shrugs*.

I am more worried about DRM as someone else said. If they screw the game with 24/7 Internet or something just as asinine I am not buying it.

For people playing Dead Space for the PC, don't forget to turn OFF vsync in the ingame menu options.

Turning vsync on in the ingame menu causes very long load times and mouse lag.

You should turn vsync on in your gpu's control panel instead ;)

Good news. Dead Space was the first game I used to "prepare" the house to play it, i.e., wait for the night and play with headphones and lights out, since the first Quake.

Reminds me, I should probably finish up the first Dead Space. I got through most of it, and really enjoyed it. Time to load it up on the new ASUS I got and marathon run it :)

I had trouble with the controls and just couldn't get used to it. It did have the feeling of Doom 3 though, at least that uneasy feeling while I was playing for the little that I did. It took a lot of confidence to finish Doom 3, not sure if I can make it through Dead Space, lol.

DO IT, trust me, you'll find yourself re-playing the last boss fight *many* times.

ROFL, I thought I was the only one! Same here, Except I did this with DOOM3 too <_<

Of course it'll be a straight port and, considering it's ubisoft, it'll be a terrible one I expect :(
