Deadspace 2 is capped at 30fps?

Good luck. But that was expected. The developers wanted.to make sure the experience was the same on all the platforms. Meaning they wanted to make sure you have a console experience on PC. Whatever... I just hope you didn't pay 60 bucks for it...

In-game OFF + D3DOverrider on still results in the 30fps max?
You may want to try RadeonPro. -

GameSpy: Port Authority: Dead Space 3 - Page 1
This article specifically mentions that the game has no framerate cap - OP what is your driver version? Maybe some incompatibility there? -
I noticed the ingame v-sync caps the FPS at 30FPS too. In my case I have got a NVIDIA GPU so I disabled ingame v-sync and enable v-sync in NVIDIA Control panel and that gave me 60 FPS. Perhaps you need to find a 3rd party tool for that since you got a HD7970M.
Up to chapter 7 now, game has been pretty awesome so far. -
My solution is to use Radeon Pro (1.1.1.0 beta). Selecting Dynamic VSync under the Tweaks tab and that'll allow 60FPS vsync. I get persistent black screen crashes with crossfire though, but that's a different story..

RadeonPro overrides all CCC settings (or is at least able to). I prefer doing things through RadeonPro so I don't mind the "mess"

Thanks for the tips. Get capped at 30FPS with Vsync on and with Vsync off, 100+ FPS seems laggy too.. lol. Textures are scarier than the game itself but the art style is nice.
Dead Space 3 Capped at 30 fps with vsync on...
