    Hey,
I have recently installed and played dead space, so far the game is great! That is until I reached level 5, right as the girl informed you that someone has tempered with the doors in the medical area. There is one door that is marked open but when I tried to open it the game would freeze up and crash. Has anyone else experienced this, and is there a fix for it? I would really hate to have to start over again, or load someone elses' save just to continue. Thanks!

Strange issue, this game NEVER crashed on my laptop. Maybe some graphical feature over there that collides with your drivers ?

Back up your saves and re-install? Maybe try another driver to see if that fixes anything.

Never happened to me, maybe you have a corrupted file somewhere either in the saved game or the installation.

Thanks for the reply, I will try to reinstall the game and see if that help.
Another symptom is that the harddrive will be access excessively when the crash happens, which makes it looks like it is suppose to load something but failed.

I have heard bad things about the controls in this game. Does it suck?

I played until level 6 and stopped (coz Wolfenstein came out :p ) and the game runs fine for me too.

However I did have some (random) crashes before, and then I found out that the game will keep crashing randomly whenever I keep my usb controller plugged in. I pulled out my controller and all is fine.
