    Dead Space issue...weird

    Ok I'm having some weird issues with Dead Space. It doesn't matter which setting I use, but my character is always running choppy/slow motion. It's really weird because panning the camera and stuff is not choppy at all.

    I was running it on my laptop side by side with my mates and he almost didn't have this issue at all. My specs are AMD X2 Turion 2.0ghz 3GB Ram and Ati 3650 512MB , his is a M1530 with T9300(?) and 8600GT.

    Everything up to date (drivers etc...)? Background tasks running (anti virus etc...)? His machine is more powerful than yours. You won't get the same performance.

    I'd just expect that changing setting would change performance, which it doesn't :confused:

    Check to see if your CPU is throttled. Mass Effect did something similar and that was the cause.

    Are you playing on battery? If you are, then your graphics driver may be in power saving mode, which automatically downlclocks your GPU to conserve battery power. Make sure that's disabled.
