It seems that with vysnc on the game forces down to 30 fps. It seems a bit too clunky for me, any way to force it to 60 fps?

Don't use vsync... that game is notoriously bad with vsync especially with regards to input lag.

try disabling V-Sync in the game, and enable it in your nVidia graphics panel.

this helped me solve the mouse lag issue as well (it's unofficially documented all over the place).

Ok the Nvidia control panel thing worked.

Is it just me or does this game have horribad controls.

If you're using a mouse and keyboard, yes. The game really plays best with a 360 controller, which makes sense given that it's a pretty straight console port.

Yeah. Man I get dizzy after about 30 mins of playing this game. Probably because of the weird third person controls.

Aside from it being a direct console port, one has to keep in mind this is one of those rare ports that was done right (optimized properly).

You shouldn't use the CP to force Vsync. Turn that off, then run D3DOverrider w/ its Triple Buffering enabled. You'll get much better performance that way.

I didn't find the controls to be much trouble. I just beat it two days ago, and that was with my notebook's touchpad.

I dont know why but for some weird reason I cant play this for over half an hour because I feel like throwing up due to all the weird motion.

It's motion sickness. I get that way with Half-Life 2, but not Dead Space.

I'll probably never complete HL2, because of that.

Really? HL2 never gave me any sickness, all bliss. And playing through HL2 again now (Cinematic Mod) it's double the bliss.

ALL first person shooters? Or just HL2? IMO I never noticed any discerning difference between HL2 p.o.v. angle and other fps's I've played (CoD games, Crysis, BC2, several others).

I get motion sickness in HL2 during the part where you have to drive the boat/motorcycle thing. Probably because I wasn't a very good driver, I was flying all over the place... :p

It's strange, but HL2 is the only FPS I have issues with, as far as motion sickness.

Yeah dead space is the first "fps" I've actually had issues with since i started 2 days ago. I've played many fps's in the past including Gears of War, heck i even sat through cloverfield without a hitch.

But its not fps, its tps. Third person shooter.
Anyway no motion sickness here, almost finished the second.
