Recently, as a late birthday gift, I received the information that i was going to get a laptop. I already have one (Dell E1705) but this other one is geared more towards gaming. Its description is in my sig. If any of you guys could tell me exactly how capable this laptop is for gaming, I would really appreciate it.

what you should be asking is what you will need >.<

more battery life and less heat or more FPS shooting some guy

Well, you can put it this way: the 8600m GT is the best mobile video card that can fit into a 15.4" screen. So no matter what, the Compal IFL90 is one of the best 15.4" laptops you can get for gaming.

XP Home > Vista for gaming

Thanks alot guys, i really appreciate it. One more question: how well would this machine play oblivion? I've read some articles that say the 8600gt can run it at max others saying only at medium-high.
