I know this is outdated but which would have better preformance? 32mb onboard or 16 mb dedicated?

Onboard/Dedicated is the same thing. The 32MB ATI 7500 is much faster than the original ATI Radeon.

Wow... Isn't that pretty darn old? Are you using it for your desktop or notebook?

IBM/Lenovo uses those cards in the low-end T42 models and the X32, respectively. They're old, but they get the job done.

Anyone who would be buying a notebook with one of those two cards probably won't be doing much 3D work. I'd still take the 32MB ATI Radeon 7500 over an Integrated card, as it won't draw off the system memory.

Not sure if you care but I do have 2 friends that have IBM T42's with the 32MB 7500 and they play WoW on them everynight...take that for what it's worth. I think they are just more willing than I am to put up with the jerky graphics.

I second that I had an old HP notebook that leeched 32MB off of my system memory... that was 32MB that I would never get back....

    Haha true. :D

Actually, I think that you could even play Half-Life 2 on that. Don't know how enjoyable it would be, but still. ;)

    Cheers

I shudder to think how it would play like, HL2 on a 32MB ATI Radeon 7500
