Sorry that this is a desktop question, but I thought some folks here might have some expertise.
I recently played through Mirror's Edge and I found a lot of the PhysX effects quite enjoyable, although there was a slight performance hit of a few fps during gameplay. I got to thinking if it would be worth it to add a cheap Nvidia card just to crunch PhysX numbers alongside my 8800GT. Maybe something like a 9400 GT. Would I be able to configure this setup with Nvidia/Ageia control panel, and would I need to put the cards in SLI/Hybrid SLI to do so? Even then, would this be worth it from a cost perspective or is it better to just buy a better card that can handle the PhysX computations?

Sweet, thanks for that link. Now a laptop question. To date, no one has figured out how to offload PhysX to the 9400M while using the dedicated 9600M GT for graphics in the late 2008 Macbook Pro, correct?
