Hi!
I'm getting a new laptop with a dedicated video card- gt 525m and an intel core i3. I read that the i3 has an built in integrated intel hd 3000 graphics card.
So is it possible to play games with both of these cards on for better performance?
Thanks!

Nope, not possible. Only notebooks with both an AMD APU and a discrete Radeon GPU can do that, though better performance is questionable last I heard.

AMD has released a platform called Fusion that is able to Crossfire the integrated graphics and the discrete GPU together, but it is still new tech and has some issues that are limiting performance.
So basically, aside from one specialized architecture, it can't be done. -
Nvidia has hybrid SLI as well, but since you've got an intel IGP then you're out of luck.

Yes it is, look at the old studio xps 13.

Hybrid SLI was found in older notebooks, but not anymore. Intel gave Nvidia the boot on chipsets and AMD makes their own inhouse, so we no longer will see any Nvidia integrated video cards or chipsets, thus ending hybrid SLI.

I stand corrected.
Dedicated and Integrated card at once?
