When you run into the Boss character BANE in Batman Arkham Asylum, boy is he a difficult fight! He was getting me stuck in this game and I felt like quitting it or finding a cheat to get by. I finally defeated him in normal difficulty, but thats only because he beat me so many times when I played against him and my computer was running normally fast enough. Well, I logged into the game and my computer had an 8.22 gb load and 167 processes, so when I loaded up Batman and played against BANE everything was in slow motion! Because everything was slow motion, I had time to pull all the right moves and defeat BANE easily if I was careful enough! So thats the trick! Slow down your computer to defeat Bane easily!
Funny thing was after defeating Bane going to the next scene you fight a group of thugs. Only one of them is unbeatable every time you punch him or do combo moves or throw a batarang at him he blocks it. The only way to kill him is by using your spray explosives. Lay a trap of spray explosives on the ground and lure him to it. Blow him up and that how you advance to the next scene.
Heres a BANE fight on Youtube:

Bane was not really an issue for me, but good post regardless except you don't need to slow down you PC to defeat him lol.
Batarang him to the face when he charges you, dodge with A+ directional(that's right XBOX 360 controller used on the PC), then beat on him....rinse and repeat till he dies. -

Yeah, I read the hints on what to do with Bane, hitting him with a batarang when he charges... But I was defeated so many times in normal speed mode. I was about to give up on this game as "stuck..." Until my PC slowed down!
I have an i7 2600K 16gb ddr3 1600 CAS7 Geforce 570 HD SC desktop on a Dell 30" monitor at 2560 x 1600. I play Batman at 1920 x 1200 so it won't be too slow. But this video card is good at other games at 2560 x 1600. Love the high resolution!
I play all of my games on a PC desktop. No laptop or consoles. But I do have two Dell E1705 laptops. They're good enough to play Neverwinter Nights 2 on, but Crysis at low settings. -
im not the best gamer but i managed to finish him of in one go.
the tricky one for me was the last cage fight which i still cant beat. -

meh was a peice of cake really ,did it in one try but i guess i can see how some people had trouble

You don't need to slow your system down, just keep your distance from him until he's dazed. That will give you plenty of time to dodge his attacks. Keep dodging and as soon as you see him get into the stance where he runs at you immediately quickthrow a batarang and dodge again.
This is one of the easier boss fights in the game. You just have to get used to how everything works.
I recommend using a gamepad for this type of game. KB and mouse is better for most games but some third-person action games can be controlled better with a gamepad. -
the cage fight at the end where joker gets on top of cage and watches you while all his goons fight you. then you pull him down with your batrang or whatever its called and then the next round starts. this is where i always die as theres 2 goons that i just cant kill. one with a knife and i think one with a cape or something. it was when the game was first out so i cant remember all the full details

Mr_Mysterious Like...duuuuuude
Slow motion is a part of the game. It's not your system slowing down or anything.

I use a 360 controller for 3rd person games so I couldn't tell you what the controls were with the keyboard. -
