Just thought I'd share this with some of you guys who can't connect to any PB servers and have tried all fixes.

THIS WILL NOT COVER ANY CRASH/STABILITY ISSUE.

This will work with ANY connection settings, LAN or WIFI etc...

    Download this: Nopacketflow.rar

Go to inCloak.com - Free Web Proxy and Privacy Tools and use Temporary Disposable Email | AirMail to get 24 hour trial.
You need to download UDP type connection

    Install OpenVPN
Extract config files (not folders) to openvpn install dir/config/
Run .bat file to preconfig VPN with Origin (TAP WIN32 network adapter must be disabled first)

Uninstall PB by using something like CCleaner or Revo (I favor revo), then re-update Punkbuster by visiting evenbalance.com, select BF3 while installing and updating.

Change your WIRELESS ADAPTER settings or LOCAL AREA CONNECTION to a Google based DNS: https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/docs/using (IPV4/6)
DO NOT change "(TAP-Win32 adapter V9)"

    Disable UPnP in your router

    Allow these ports router/windows

    TCP: 80, 443, 9988, 20000-20100, 22990, 17502, 42127
    UDP: 3659, 14000-14016, 22990-23006, 25200-25300

Guide: Open a Port in Windows 7

Use separate rules for TCP and UDP

Go to c:\windows\syswow64\ and allow admin rights to every PB services in the folder, right click and select the compatibility to enable run as admin.
Same thing to the ORIGIN launcher and BF3.EXE

Whitelist in windows firewall "winkey --> search for (allow a program trough windows firewall)"

Restart PC (you MUST do this)

Now turn on the OpenVPN GUI and DO NOT OPEN ORIGIN YET.

Select the server in your country or closest to your region

    Now open origin and BF3

Select server browser to show servers located near the VPN server.

    Good luck soldier!

    It worked for me :)

I can confirm it works better than the non-PB servers

It's ridiculous for everyone that a AAA title like BF3 that is milking people's wallets for stupid DLCs that should be included in the original $60 tag have to do the moronic workaround you posted. That's insane.

Oh that way of ridiculousness lol :p
I know what I'm up against since EA took part in the development of this game, and I know at some point I would have to do a really long and complex fix like this.

Idk what's wrong w/ my BF3, but it acts up only on my ISP, my cousin's different one runs OK without the need of this tut.

I have done every single "fix" out there with no result, so this tut is ONLY advisable as a last resort when all other methods fail.

I have a battle buddy on BF3, he's experiencing the same issue. He's currently trying this method, I'll tell you the results when he replies

Ever since the recent incident where PB banned non-cheating players by mistake - which did not happen to me - I am being kicked by PB 1 minute after joining any server for no packet flow. It is has been happening all day long for the past 3 days and it is extremely frustrating.

Nothing has changed with my network, connection, and hardware configuration and everything is up to date.

Yes I tried restarting the modem, connecting through direct cable instead of wireless, disabling uPNP, giving full administrative privileges to PB in system32 and everywhere, running all the tests, making sure service A and B are both running etc..etc..etc....

It is a game I am spending time fixing much more than playing.

1- AMD driver crashes randomly; I use the latest drivers from http://leshcatlabs.net/.

2- PB has been kicking me out frequently for no packet flow since 1 month ago and all the time in the past 3 days.

3- If I manage to play I get the super-hero enemies where they appear with their bullets at the same time on my screen; I am insta-dead when someone spots me without even a short gunfight. In short, I lag when someone aims at me.

I think I have diabetes now.
