    I just bought a Dell 1720 and I was wondering if it would run the new FPS well. Here are the specs:

    Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T7500 (2.2GHz,4MB L2 Cache,800MHz FSB)

    2 GB DDR2 SDRAM 677MHz

    GeForce Go 8600 GT with 256MB DDR2 dedicated graphic memory

    Dual hard drives (2 x 250GB). Total of 500GB

    High Resolution, glossy widescreen 17.0 inch display (1920 x 1200)

    Intel Next-Gen Wireless-N Mini-Card

    85Whr Lithium Ion Battery (9 cell)

    Doom 3 is an older game at this point, the 8600GT will have no problem running it.

    You'll have no problem running that game. Probably the only game (currently avaliable) you can't run on highest is Oblivion...

    Not exactly.
    There's more games which 8600M GT won't be able to handle at highest settings:FEAR(with soft shadows),STALKER,Gothic3,DIRT,TDU,Lost Planet,Rainbow Six:Vegas and more...
